2/28/72 <br />220 1 <br />Gentlemen: <br />1. Due to the anticipated start of construction of the Downtown <br />Renewal in the form of the demolition of the east 2 of 200 S. St. <br />Joseph Street, it will be necessary to remove the (11 eleven parking <br />meters on the east side of the street. <br />2. Due to the above construction, it will be necessary to remove <br />the (5) five parking meters on the west side of 200 S. St. Joseph <br />Street to provide for two moving lanes of traffic on the west 2 <br />of the roadway. <br />It is recommended that the above 16 meters be removed in the 200 <br />block of St.Joseph Street S. Removal will commence on the starting <br />date of construction which is estimated to be March 1st, 1972 at <br />this time. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />s/ William J. Richardson, P.E. <br />RJW/mkm <br />r-4 Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board <br />in approved the recommendation of the City Engineer and directed the <br />meters mentioned above removed. <br />F-j <br />CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE - LA RITE ROOFING & INSULATING COMPANY INC. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried a certificate of Insurance for <br />THE LaRite Roofing & Insulating Company, Inc., was approved to <br />February 10, 1973. <br />CONTINUATION CERTIFICATES <br />Continuation certificates for Contractor's bonds were presented for <br />the following: <br />Keith K. Carbiener to 1/l/73 <br />John D. Skiles d/b/a Skiles <br />Construction Company to 2/5/73 <br />Leon Yoder Cust. Homes to 3/22/73 <br />Aulm Construction Co. to l/l/73 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the above bonds <br />were approved and ordered filed. <br />LETTER JOHN H. MILES INSURANCE SERVICE RE: GEORGE DEVREESE EXCAVATION <br />BOND <br />A letter was received from the John H. Miles Insurance Service indicating <br />they wished the previous bond of George DeVreese cancelled before they <br />would issue a new one. On the advice of the Legal Department the Clerk <br />was directed to write the Insurance Company asking that they issue a <br />new bond before the old one could be cancelled. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT <br />Street light outage reports were filed for the period 2/11/72 to 2/23/72. <br />There being no further business to come bef ore the Board, upon motion <br />made, seconded and carried, the meeting was adjourned at 11:20 A.M. <br />ATTEST: <br />Clerk <br />
