Non collusion affidavits were found to be proper. The <br />bids were as follows: <br />Midwest Demolition Company $681.00 <br />O'Neal Trucking Company $649.00 <br />Bryant Excavating Company $600.00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried,` contract for demolition of the <br />structure at 134 N. Birdsell Street was awarded to Bryant Excavating Com- <br />pany on its low bid of $600.00. <br />Request to appear before the Board 9/27/71 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the request of <br />the Sub -Standards Director for the following persons to appear before the <br />Board on September 27, 1971, in reference to the sub -standard condition of <br />the following properties: <br />1813 Robinson Street <br />1033 Hudson Avenue <br />2601 W: Lawton Street <br />1629 S. James <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the <br />recommendation of the Purchasing Department for the award of contract for <br />8500 tons of salt for the 1971-1972 winter season to Morton Salt Company <br />on its low bid of $11.80 per ton. <br />HEARING ON ASSESSMENT ROLL - VACATION RESOLUTION NO..3322 - STANLEY PIETZAK <br />This being the date set, hearing was held on the assessment roll in Vacation <br />Resolution No. 3322 for the vacation of: <br />A portion of Ivy Road running north from the north <br />right of way line of South Bend Avenue to the south <br />right of way line of Edison Road. <br />The Clerk tendered proofs of publication in the South Bend Tribune and the <br />Tri County News on August 20, August 27 and September 3, 1971, which were <br />read and found to be sufficient. No remonstrators appeared and no written <br />remonstrances were received. Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously <br />carried, the assessment roll was approved as presented, and the vacation <br />resolution adopted August 3, 1970, in all things ratified and confirmed <br />and these proceedings closed. <br />HEARING ON VACATION RESOLUTION"N0. 3344 - DEPARTMENT OF REDEVELOPMENT (IND R-57) <br />This being the date set, hearing was held on Vacation Resolution No. 3344 <br />for the vacation of: <br />Portions of streets and alleys in LaSalle Park, all within <br />the recorded Third Plat of Summit Place Addition, a Subdivision <br />in the northwest Quarter of the southwest Quarter of Section 10. <br />Township 37 north, Range 2 east as follows: <br />(1) Kankakee Avenue between the west line of the north -south <br />alley west of Kaley Street and the east line extended <br />northerly of Lot 686. <br />(2) Kaley Street between 40 feet north of the north line of <br />Colfax Avenue and the south line of Kankakee Avenue. <br />(3) The north -south alley (between Kaley Street and Meade <br />Street),between 40 feet north of the north line of Colfax <br />Avenue and the south line of Kankakee Avenue. <br />
