79 9/13/71 1 Demolition bids opened This being the time set, bids were opened for the demolition of 134 Birdsell Street. Non collusion affidavits were found to be proper. The bids were as follows: Midwest Demolition Company $681.00 O'Neal Trucking Company $649.00 Bryant Excavating Company $600.00 Upon motion made, seconded and carried,` contract for demolition of the structure at 134 N. Birdsell Street was awarded to Bryant Excavating Com- pany on its low bid of $600.00. Request to appear before the Board 9/27/71 Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the request of the Sub -Standards Director for the following persons to appear before the Board on September 27, 1971, in reference to the sub -standard condition of the following properties: 1813 Robinson Street 1033 Hudson Avenue 2601 W: Lawton Street 1629 S. William Street 220 E. Paris Street 412 E. Calvert Street CONTRACT AWARDED ON SALT BIDS 8/9/71 - Charles Hahn - Norma H. Swank Reuter - Frank and Lillie B. Binion - Charles Hahn - Thomas Taylor - Donald C. and Gervae M. James Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the recommendation of the Purchasing Department for the award of contract for 8500 tons of salt for the 1971-1972 winter season to Morton Salt Company on its low bid of $11.80 per ton. HEARING ON ASSESSMENT ROLL - VACATION RESOLUTION NO..3322 - STANLEY PIETZAK This being the date set, hearing was held on the assessment roll in Vacation Resolution No. 3322 for the vacation of: A portion of Ivy Road running north from the north right of way line of South Bend Avenue to the south right of way line of Edison Road. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri County News on August 20, August 27 and September 3, 1971, which were read and found to be sufficient. No remonstrators appeared and no written remonstrances were received. Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the assessment roll was approved as presented, and the vacation resolution adopted August 3, 1970, in all things ratified and confirmed and these proceedings closed. HEARING ON VACATION RESOLUTION"N0. 3344 - DEPARTMENT OF REDEVELOPMENT (IND R-57) This being the date set, hearing was held on Vacation Resolution No. 3344 for the vacation of: Portions of streets and alleys in LaSalle Park, all within the recorded Third Plat of Summit Place Addition, a Subdivision in the northwest Quarter of the southwest Quarter of Section 10. Township 37 north, Range 2 east as follows: (1) Kankakee Avenue between the west line of the north -south alley west of Kaley Street and the east line extended northerly of Lot 686. (2) Kaley Street between 40 feet north of the north line of Colfax Avenue and the south line of Kankakee Avenue. (3) The north -south alley (between Kaley Street and Meade Street),between 40 feet north of the north line of Colfax Avenue and the south line of Kankakee Avenue.
