REGULAR MEETING JUNE 24, 1985 1 1 APPROVE BLOCK PARTY REQUESTS Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Police Department Traffic Division have reviewed the following Block Party requests and recommend approval: 1. William Jonas, Jr. 1131 East Victoria 1100 block of East Victoria June 29, 1985 - 2:00 p.m. - 12:00 midnight Neighborhood Block party 3. Petitioner: Chris Samuels -Wade Address: 1142 Milton Street Street to be closed: 1100 block East Milton Dates and Times: June 30, 1985 - 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. Purpose: Neighborhood Block Party 4. Petitioner: Elizabeth Creary Address: 1720 East Wayne Street Street to be closed: Wayne Street between Greenlawn Avenue and Esther Avenue Dates and Times: Purpose: 5. Malone 1233 Woodward Woodward between Yukon and Hudson July 6, 1985 (rain date: July 7, 1985 - 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Neighborhood Block Party Mr. Leszczynski further advised that approval is subject to the maintenance of a ten (10) foot clear and unobstructed lane at either curb or down the center of the street for emergency purposes. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Barnard and carried, the above recommendation was accepted and the requests approved. APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES Upon a motion made by Ms. Barnard, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the following three (3) traffic control devices were approved: 1. REVISE TO 30 MINUTE PARKING 6 AM TO 6 PM - North side of 200 W. Washington, West half block. 2. REVISE TO 15-20 MINUTE PARKING 6 AM TO 6 PM - South side of 200 W. Washington, West half block. (Request of Tower Savings & Loan - Jim Doyle). 3. REVISE TO HANDICAP PARKING - 200 S. Main, East side, North one-half block, Federal Building. (Temporary Handicap parking for Ethnic Festival - July 6-7).
