REGULAR MEETING <br />NOVEMBER 18, 1986 <br />17th Annual St. Joseph River Run on Saturday, May 9, 1987, <br />beginning at Leeper Park in South Bend and finishing at St. <br />Patrick's Park in St. Joseph County. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the above request <br />was referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, Police <br />Department Traffic Division, Park Department, Fire Department and <br />City Attorney's office for review and recommendation. <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq <br />and carried, the following six (6) traffic control devices were <br />approved: <br />1. NEW INSTALLATION, STOP SIGN - On Hine at Studebaker. <br />(Uncontrolled 'IT IT). <br />2. NEW INSTALLATION, STOP SIGN - On Hine at Walnut. <br />(Uncontrolled "T"). <br />3. NEW INSTALLATION, STOP SIGN - On Pagan at Hine. <br />(Uncontrolled "T"). <br />4. NEW INSTALLATION, STOP SIGN - On Pagan at Linden. <br />(Uncontrolled "T") <br />5. REMOVAL OF 10-MINUTE LOADING ZONE, REVISED TO 1-HOUR <br />PARKING 6AM - 6PM - 620-622 N. Michigan. (Requested <br />by Real Services and Memorial Office Center). <br />6. REMOVAL OF HANDICAP PARKING, REVISED TO 2 HOUR <br />PARKING, 6A-9P, 30 MIN. PARKING 9P-6A - 1200 W. <br />Washington, 1st space East of Walnut, on South <br />side of street. (Requested by Councilman Braboy). <br />APPROVE EXCAVATION BOND <br />Mr. Melvin Humphrey, Engineering Department, recommended <br />Excavation Bond for Eagle Excavation, Inc. be approved <br />retroactive to November 10, 1986. Upon a motion made by <br />Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the above <br />referred to Excavation Bond was approved. <br />that the <br />Mr. <br />APPROVE HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMIT <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and <br />carried, the following one (1) handicapped parking permit <br />application was approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's <br />office for issuance of a permit: <br />1. William Neely, 608 N. Johnson, S.B. <br />FILING OF STREET LIGHT <br />OUTAGE <br />REPORT <br />The report submitted to <br />the Board indicated a total of <br />one -hundred twenty-six <br />(126) <br />street light outages reported during <br />the month of October. <br />by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, <br />Upon a <br />motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded <br />the report as submitted was filed. <br />FILING OF CERTIFICATES OF INSURANCE <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Vance and <br />carried, the Certificates of Insurance for O.J. Shoemaker, Inc., <br />1008 Lincolnway West, P.O. Box 418, South Bend, Indiana, and <br />Edward J. White, Inc., 1011 South Michigan Street, South Bend, <br />Indiana, were accepted and filed. <br />
