83. <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />JANUARY 28. 1986 <br />permission to locate said dumpsters for a period of three (3) <br />months on the sidewalk on the west side of the building located <br />on Main Street. <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting <br />and the Building Department have reviewed this request and <br />recommend approval subject to Ziolkowski Construction providing <br />the appropriate Occupancy Bond and securing the appropriate <br />Occupancy Permit from the Building Department, as well as the <br />placement of flashing barricades around the dumpsters so they <br />will be visible at night. <br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Barnard, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski <br />and carried, the recommendation was accepted and the request <br />approved. <br />APPROVE HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMITS <br />Upon a motion made 'by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and <br />carried, the following two (2) handicapped parking permit <br />applications were approved and referred to the Deputy <br />Controller's office for issuance of permits: <br />1. Charles Edwards, 522 Preston, S.B. <br />2. Loucrecia Grim, 220 Bendix, S.B. <br />APPROVE CONTRACTOR'S BOND AND EXCAVATION BOND <br />Mr. Melvin Humphrey, Engineering Department, recommended that <br />that Contractor's Bond for I.O. Pfeiffer & Sons, Inc. be approved <br />retroactive to January 22, 1986. He additionally recommended <br />that the Excavation Bond for Bob Rhodes, d/b/a/ Bob Rhodes <br />Plumbing be approved retroactive to January 23, 1986. Upon a <br />motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Barnard and <br />carried, the above referred to Contractor's Bond and Excavation <br />Bond were approved. <br />FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS REPORT <br />A report from the Department of Code Enforcement indicating a <br />total of thirty-eight (38) properties cleaned from January 21, <br />1986 thru January 24, 1986 was submitted. Upon a motion made by <br />Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Barnard and carried, the report <br />as submitted was filed. <br />FILING OF CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Barnard <br />and carried, the Certificate of Insurance for Ideal Consolidated, <br />Inc., 806 West Sample Street, South Bend, Indiana, was accepted <br />and filed. <br />APPROVE CLAIMS <br />Mr. John W. Ferguson, Executive Director, St. Joseph County Job <br />Training Program submitted a list containing seventy-three (73) <br />claims and recommended approval. Additionally, Deputy City <br />Controller Carol M. Sanders submitted Claim Docket No. 1258 <br />through Claim Docket No. 1896 and recommended approval. Upon a <br />motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Ms. Barnard and carried, <br />the claims were approved and the reports as submitted were filed. <br />
