DISCOVERY AND PLANNING <br />At this point, much of the Discovery and Planning portion of the project has been completed. However, ENS and City of <br />South Bend reserve the right to add to the scope, schedule, or cost of the project by following the processes identified in <br />the Change Management Section of this document: <br />Discovery <br />High-level discovery work was completed during the quoting process for the project. However, further discovery work <br />will be executed during planning sessions to gather client requirements. <br />Plan Development <br />A key factor in success of the project is to develop a detailed plan for the project. This plan will be used by ENS <br />technicians to properly configure the system to function in a way that is aligned with the operational goals & objectives <br />of City of South Bend. Knowledge transfer regarding features, functionality, and user options is provided to City of <br />South Bend during and upon completion of the executing phase of this project. <br />CORE SWITCH DEPLOMENT PROJECT SCOPE OVERVIEW <br />The City of South Bend LAN -WAN Implementation project, as described in this Project Management Plan, will be <br />defined as successful after the following milestones are met: <br />• Discovery & Planning <br />• Equipment Installation and Configuration <br />• Cutover from existing systems to new systems <br />• Administrating training and knowledge transfer <br />• Final Documentation <br />• Project Close -Out <br />EQUIPMENT INSTALLATION AND CONFIGURATION <br />The following identifies and describes the planned installation and configuration of various known high level items. <br />General Guidelines <br />• All devices will be configured using passwords unique to City of South Bend <br />• ENS will follow best practice procedures for securing the network devices <br />Local Area Network <br />ENS will work to install & configure the new systems in accordance with planning meeting discussions and the overall <br />project plan. ENS will coordinate with the City of South Bend staff in order to smoothly transition from the old systems <br />to the new ones, minimizing disruptions and downtime. ENS technicians will test and resolve/troubleshoot issues <br />related to the activities in this SOW to ensure proper operation of the system. <br />Network installation steps will include: <br />• Install & configure Cisco switches <br />0 2 Cisco 4500X switches will be installed in the City of South Bend's rack in Data Realty <br />• Switches will be "stacked" for full redundancy <br />0 2 Cisco 4500X switches will be installed in the City of South Bend's Police Department <br />• Switches will be "stacked" for full redundancy <br />o Multiple 1G copper modules are included for to provide local connectivity, any other connectivity may <br />require the purchase of additional modules <br />0 3 Cisco 3850 switches are provided for future connectivity in the City County Building when the 6509 <br />chassis is removed <br />Statement of Work for City of South Bend 4 <br />
