245- REGULAR MEETING AUGUST 13, 1990 4. NEW INSTALLATION: LOCATION: NO PARKING West property line of 5215 Sample west to Mayflower north side of Sample Street Mr. Leszczynski noted that "No Turn On Red - 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m." will be installed at intersections located around schools. He further noted that it was decided to initiate this time limitation on the "No Turn On Red" at those locations. APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATION - SECONDHAND DEALER Mr. Leszczynski advised that the following one (1) secondhand dealers license application has been received: NAME: Classic Boutique/Consignment BY: Ethel Anderson ADDRESS: 2518 West Western Avenue FOR THE PURPOSE OF SELLING: Used furniture/miscellaneous Mr. Leszczynski further advised that favorable recommendations have been received from the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, Department of Code Enforcement, Police Department and Fire Department on the above application. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the above license application was approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's office for issuance of a license. APPROVE CARNIVAL & CIRCUS LICENSE APPLICATION Mr. Leszczynski advised that on July 30, 1990, the Board accepted for filing and referred to various departments and bureaus for review and recommendation, the following Carnival and Circus license application: APPLICANT: Jennifer Brickley ADDRESS: 52011 Farmington Square Road Granger, Indiana CORPORATION: The Circus Arts Foundation 634 North Grand, Suite 1029 St. Louis, MO PROPOSED LOCATION OF CIRCUS: Downtown South Bend DATES: September 11-17, 1990 HOURS: 10:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. At this time, the Board has received recommendations from the departments and bureaus that have reviewed the application and approval is recommended. Therefore, Mrs. DeClercq made a motion that the application as submitted be approved. Ms. Humphreys seconded the motion which carried. DENY REQUEST FOR DESIGNATED HANDICAPPED PARKING SPACE AT 1629 NORTH OLIVE STREET Mr. Leszczynski advised that the appropriate City departments and bureaus have reviewed the above referred to request which was submitted to the Board on June 11, 1990 and denial is recommended by the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting as parking on the west side of Olive Street is prohibited. Mrs. DeClercq made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the request be denied. Ms. Humphreys seconded the motion which carried. ACTION BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS NOT REQUIRED - REOUEST OF CITY AWNING TO INSTALL A CANOPY AT 3015 WESTERN AVENUE Mr. Leszczynski stated that various City departments and bureaus have reviewed the request of City Awning which was submitted to the Board on July 30, 1990 to install a canopy at the above
