NEW INSTALLATION: <br />LOCATION: <br />NO PARKING <br />West property line of 5215 Sample <br />west to Mayflower north side of <br />Sample Street <br />Mr. Leszczynski noted that "No Turn On Red - 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 <br />p.m." will be installed at intersections located around schools. <br />He further noted that it was decided to initiate this time <br />limitation on the "No Turn On Red" at those locations. <br />APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATION - SECONDHAND DEALER <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the following one (1) secondhand <br />dealers license application has been received: <br />NAME: Classic Boutique/Consignment <br />BY: Ethel Anderson <br />ADDRESS: 2518 West Western Avenue <br />FOR THE PURPOSE OF SELLING: Used furniture/miscellaneous <br />Mr. Leszczynski further advised that favorable recommendations <br />have been received from the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, <br />Department of Code Enforcement, Police Department and Fire <br />Department on the above application. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the above <br />license application was approved and referred to the Deputy <br />Controller's office for issuance of a license. <br />APPROVE CARNIVAL & CIRCUS LICENSE APPLICATION <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that on July 30, 1990, the Board accepted <br />for filing and referred to various departments and bureaus for <br />review and recommendation, the following Carnival and Circus <br />license application: <br />APPLICANT: Jennifer Brickley <br />ADDRESS: 52011 Farmington Square Road <br />Granger, Indiana <br />CORPORATION: <br />The Circus Arts Foundation <br />634 North Grand, Suite 1029 <br />St. Louis, MO <br />PROPOSED LOCATION OF CIRCUS: Downtown South Bend <br />DATES: September 11-17, 1990 <br />HOURS: 10:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 6:30 <br />p.m. and 9:30 p.m. <br />At this time, the Board has received recommendations from the <br />departments and bureaus that have reviewed the application and <br />approval is recommended. Therefore, Mrs. DeClercq made a motion <br />that the application as submitted be approved. Ms. Humphreys <br />seconded the motion which carried. <br />DENY REQUEST FOR DESIGNATED HANDICAPPED PARKING SPACE AT 1629 <br />NORTH OLIVE STREET <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the appropriate City departments and <br />bureaus have reviewed the above referred to request which was <br />submitted to the Board on June 11, 1990 and denial is recommended <br />by the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting as parking on the west side <br />of Olive Street is prohibited. Mrs. DeClercq made a motion that <br />the recommendation be accepted and the request be denied. Ms. <br />Humphreys seconded the motion which carried. <br />ACTION BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS NOT REQUIRED - REOUEST OF <br />CITY AWNING TO INSTALL A CANOPY AT 3015 WESTERN AVENUE <br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that various City departments and bureaus <br />have reviewed the request of City Awning which was submitted to <br />the Board on July 30, 1990 to install a canopy at the above <br />
