REGULAR MEETING JUNE 11, 1990 <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Humphreys <br />and carried, the requests were referred to the appropriate City <br />departments and bureaus for review and recommendation. <br />DENY REQUEST TO CLOSE FALCON STREET, FROM WASHINGTON TO LINDEN. <br />FOR BLOCK/BIRTHDAY PARTY - JUNE 16, 1990 <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the appropriate City departments and <br />bureaus have reviewed the above referred to request which was <br />submitted to the Board on May 29, 1990 and it is recommended that <br />the request be denied. Denial is based on the fact that Falcon <br />Streets serves as a major north/south route to Linden Street. <br />Therefore, Mrs. DeClercq made a motion that the recommendation to <br />deny the request be accepted and approved and the request be <br />denied. Ms. Humphreys seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE REQUESTS: <br />- REQUEST TO CLOSE WALL STREET, FROM TWYCKENHAM TO CHESTER, FOR <br />NEIGHBORHOOD BLOCK PARTY - JULY 14, 1990 <br />- REQUEST OF SUE'S AUCTION SERVICE TO CLOSE ALLEY BEHIND THE 100 <br />BLOCK OF WAKEWA IN CONJUNCTION WITH ESTATE AUCTION - JUNE 16, <br />1990 <br />- REQUEST OF ST. JOSEPH VALLEY BUILDING TRADES TO CONDUCT <br />INTERSECTION SOLICITATIONS - JUNE 16 1990 <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the appropriate City departments and <br />bureaus have reviewed the above referred to requests which were <br />submitted to the Board on May 21, 1990 and May 29, 1990 and <br />approval is recommended. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mrs. <br />DeClercq, seconded by Ms. Humphreys and carried, the <br />recommendation was accepted and the requests were approved. <br />APPROVE ETHNIC FESTIVAL BOOTH APPLICATIONS <br />Ms. Mikki Dobski, Director, Office of Community Affairs, <br />submitted to the Board the following Ethnic Festival booth <br />applications: <br />Food Booths: 4 <br />Craft Booths: 2 <br />Display Booths: 4 <br />Activity Booths: 1 <br />Ms. Dobski reminded the Board that they have already approved a <br />total of one hundred twenty one (121) applications with eleven <br />(11) being submitted today for approval. She further advised <br />that this is the second and final set of booth applications that <br />will be recommended for approval. <br />Therefore, Mrs. DeClercq made a motion that the eleven (11) booth <br />applications submitted today be approved. Mr. Leszczynski <br />seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICE <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq <br />and carried, the following one (1) traffic control device was <br />approved: <br />1. NEW INSTALLATION: Stop Sign - 30" Stop <br />LOCATION: 23rd & Mishawaka Avenue <br />REMARKS: "T" intersection <br />
