REGULAR MEETING DECEMBER 30, 1991 <br />C� <br />account for the differences between the tabulation and the <br />amounts read at the Board meeting. Therefore, Mr. Littrell <br />recommended that the Board award the lowest Quotation received <br />from Hunzikers, Inc., 2344 Yankee Street, P.O. Box 397, Niles, <br />Michigan in the amount of $9,479.94. Ms. Humphreys made a motion <br />that the recommendation be accepted and the Quotation be <br />awarded. Mrs. DeClercq seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE CONSTRUCTION <br />- WEST WASHINGTON DEMOLITION - <br />1231, 1233 AND 1306 WEST WASHINGTON <br />Mrs. DeClercq advised that in accordance with the bid awarded on <br />December 16, 1991 to LaFree Excavating, Inc., 1251 West Third <br />Street, Osceola, Indiana, in the amount of $26,619.33 for the <br />above referred to project, a Contract in said amount was being <br />submitted for Board approval. Upon a motion made by Ms. <br />Humphreys, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the Contract <br />was approved and the required Certificate of Insurance, <br />Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Payment Bond as <br />submitted were filed. <br />ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 48-1991 - ACCEPTING THE TRANSFER OF REAL <br />PROPERTY FROM THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND DEPARTMENT OF REDEVELOPMENT <br />Board Attorney Mary H. Mueller advised that the Resolution <br />submitted today transfers a portion of two (2) lots in Monroe <br />Park to the City for right-of-way ingress and egress from Rush <br />Street. Mrs. Mueller noted that the property will be dedicated <br />as public right-of-way at a later date. Therefore, Ms. Humphreys <br />made a motion that the Resolution be adopted. Mrs. DeClercq <br />seconded the motion which carried and the following Resolution <br />No. 48-1991 was adopted: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 48-1991 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA <br />ACCEPTING THE TRANSFER OF REAL PROPERTY <br />FROM THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, DEPARTMENT OF REDEVELOPMENT <br />WHEREAS, the City of South Bend, Indiana, for the use and <br />benefit of its Department of Redevelopment, owns a certain parcel <br />of real property situated in St. Joseph County, in an area of the <br />City of South Bend commonly referred to as Monroe Park and more <br />particularly described as follows: <br />The triangular parcel on the westerly side of Lots <br />7 and 6 of Gallaghers 1st Addition to the City of <br />South Bend. Key No. 18-3035-1323.01 <br />(Real Estate) which Real Estate was acquired for redevelopment <br />purposes; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to I.C. 36-7-14-3, the South Bend <br />Redevelopment Commission (Commission) is the governing body of <br />the City of South Bend Department of Redevelopment; and <br />WHEREAS, the Commission has determined that the Real Estate, <br />or some portion thereof, would best be used to provide public <br />ingress to and egress from Rush Streets; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to I.C. 36-7-14-12.2(a)(3), the Commission <br />may transfer real property acquired for redevelopment purposes, <br />to another department of the City for use as public right-of-way, <br />upon any terms that may be agreed upon; and <br />
