REGULAR MEETING DECEMBER 30, 1991 APPROVE AGREEMENT FOR STAFF SUPPORT - BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION Board Attorney Mary H. Mueller informed members of the Board that the Agreement for Staff Support submitted today for consideration is between the Business Development Corporation and the City, by and through its Board of Public Works on behalf of the Economic Development Department, whereby the City provides staff support to the Business Development Corporation and is compensated the amount of $97,000.00. Ms. Humphreys made a motion that the Agreement be approved and executed, Mrs. DeClercq seconded the motion which carried. APPROVE INSURANCE STATEMENT Mrs. DeClercq stated that the Board is in receipt of a Memorandum from Mrs. C.J. Cartwright-Cowsert, Safety and Risk Manager, submitting an Insurance Statement which is required in regards to the purchase of a new vehicle by Century Center which will be financed with Society Bank. Therefore, Ms. Humphreys made a motion that the Insurance Statement as submitted be approved and executed, Mrs. DeClercq seconded the motion which carried. APPROVE PETITION FOR RESTRICTED RESIDENTIAL PARKING ZONE - WEST SIDE OF 100 BLOCK OF NORTH WILLIAM Mrs, DeClercq advised that the Board is in receipt of a favorable recommendation from the Division of Engineering concerning the Petition for the Establishment of a Restricted Residential Parking Zone on the west side of the 100 block of North William Street as submitted to the Board on October 14, 1991. Mr. Carl Littrell, Director, Division of Engineering, advised that the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting conducted the necessary investigation and because of the two-hour parking restriction it was difficult to apply the ordinance requirements to this area. However, it is his recommendation, based on the fact that there appears to be adequate parking in the area to serve the general public, that the Petition be approved and that four (4) parking spaces be posted and designated as restricted residential parking on the west side of the 100 block of North William Street as requested. Ms. Humphreys made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the Petition be approved. Mrs. DeClercq seconded the motion which carried. ,A.PPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICE Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Ms. Humphreys and carried, the following one (1) traffic control device was approved: 1. NEW INSTALLATION: Stop Sign (24x24) LOCATION: Caroline and Altgeld REMARKS: "T" Intersection APPROVE TITLE SHEETS: - IRONGATE ESTATES, SECTION 5 (SEWER/WATER) - HERMITAGE SOUTH ESTATES, SECTION 1, PART 2 (SEWER/WATER/STREET) Mrs. DeClercq made two (2) separate motions that the title sheets for the above referred to projects be approved. Ms. Humphreys seconded both motions which carried and the title sheets were executed. FILING OF CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Ms. Humphreys and carried, the Certificate of Insurance for Ideal Consolidated, Inc., 806 West Sample Street, South Bend, Indiana, was accepted and filed. 1 1
