<br />- OF ST. STEPHEN'S PARISH TO CLOSE MC PHERSON STREET, FROM
<br />THOMAS TO NAPIER, ON JULY 25-16, 1992, IN CONJUNCTION WITH
<br />PARISH FESTIVAL
<br />Reverend Thomas McNally, Pastor, St. Stephen's Parish, 1102
<br />West Thomas Street, South Bend, Indiana, advised that the
<br />parish festival will be held on Sunday, July 26, 1992
<br />alongside St. Stephen's which is located at Thomas and
<br />McPherson Streets. Therefore, they would appreciate it if
<br />McPherson Street, from Thomas to Napier, could be closed from
<br />9:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 25, 1992 through Sunday, July 26,
<br />1992, in conjunction with this event.
<br />- TO CLOSE SMITH STREET, FROM OLIVE TO HUEY, FOR NEIGHBORHOOD
<br />BLOCK PARTY - JUNE 20 1992
<br />Ms. Willa Jackson, 2205 Smith Street, South Bend, Indiana,
<br />submitted to the Board an Application For Use Of And Blocking
<br />Of Access To Public Right -Of -Way For a Party or Similar
<br />Event, requesting that Smith Street, from Olive to Huey, be
<br />closed from 1:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 20,
<br />1992, for a block party.
<br />- TO CLOSE BELMONT, FROM SUNNYSIDE TO EDDY, FOR NEIGHBORHOOD
<br />BLOCK PARTY - JUNE 27, 1992
<br />Mrs. Kay E. Parker, 1206 Belmont Avenue, South Bend, Indiana,
<br />submitted to the Board an Application For Use Of And Blocking
<br />Of Access To Public Right -Of -Way For a Party or Similar
<br />Event, requesting that Belmont, from Sunnyside to Eddy, be
<br />closed from 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 27,
<br />1992, with a rain date of Sunday, June 28, 1992, for a
<br />neighborhood block party.
<br />APPROVE REQUESTS:
<br />- REQUEST TO CLOSE SOUTH STREET, FROM LONGFELLOW TO SUNNYSIDE,
<br />FOR NEIGHBORHOOD BLOCK PARTY - JUNE 13, 1992
<br />- REQUEST TO CLOSE SUNNYMEDE AVENUE, FROM TWYCKENHAM TO
<br />GREENLAWN FOR NEIGHBORHOOD BLOCK PARTY - JULY 4, 1992
<br />- REOUEST OF PARK DEPARTMENT TO CLOSE NILES AVENUE. FROM
<br />WATERWAY EVENTS - JUNE 13-14, 1992 AND AUGUST 15-16, 1992
<br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the appropriate City departments and
<br />bureaus have reviewed the above referred to requests which were
<br />submitted to the Board on May 26, 1992, and approval is
<br />recommended. Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the
<br />recommendations be accepted and the requests be approved. Mrs.
<br />Mueller seconded the motion which carried.
<br />- IRONGATE ESTATES - SECTION 6
<br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Title Sheet for the above
<br />referred to project was being presented at this time for
<br />execution. Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mr.
<br />Leszczynski and carried, the above referred to Title Sheet was
<br />approved and signed.
<br />APPROVE CONTRACTORS BOND
<br />Mr. Larry D. Spradlin, Sr., Engineering Aide, Division of
<br />Engineering, recommended to the Board that the Bond of Contractor
<br />for James Solmos be approved effective June 1, 1992. Mr.
<br />Leszczynski made a motion that the bond be approved. Mr.
<br />Caldwell seconded the motion which carried.
<br />FILING OF CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE
<br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. Mueller, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski
<br />and carried, the Certificate of Insurance for Clinton Yeager,
