REGULAR MEETING <br />APRIL 5, 1993 <br />Mrs. Mueller seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, Change Order <br />No. 1 was approved. <br />APPROVE CHANGE ORDER - SIGNALIZATION PROJECT <br />Mr. Leszczynski indicated that the Board is in receipt of a Change <br />Order showing a decrease of $11,575.00 for the signalization <br />project. The Change Order indicates that the overun was due to a <br />change in the original plans. Changes were made at Twyckenham and <br />Calvert Streets, Hickory Road and Miracle Lane and Mishawaka <br />Avenue and Logan Street. Mr. Caldwell made a motion that the <br />Change Order be approved. Mrs. Mueller seconded the motion which <br />carried. <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF PROPOSALS PAST <br />DUE AMBULANCE ACCOUNTS - FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />In a letter to the Board, Fire Chief Luther Taylor advised that <br />the E.M.S. Division utilizes the services of a collection agency <br />for past due ambulance accounts. Therefore, Chief Taylor asked <br />that the Board solicit proposals for debt collection services for <br />past due ambulance accounts for the year 1993. Mr. Leszczynski <br />made a motion that the request be approved. Mr. Caldwell seconded <br />the motion which carried. <br />REQUESTS REFERRED: <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Caldwell <br />and carried, the following requests were referred to the <br />appropriate City departments and bureaus for review and <br />recommendation: <br />- OF MENTAL HEALTH ASSOCIATION OF ST. JOSEPH COUNTY INC. <br />TO CONDUCT 1ST ANNUAL MENTAL HEALTH - A MILE OF QUARTERS <br />WALK - APRIL 25, 1993 <br />Ms. Noreen Busch and Ms. Barb Phair, Chairmen, A Mile of <br />Quarters Walk, Mental Health Association of St. Joseph County, <br />Inc., 315 North Lafayette Boulevard, South Bend, Indiana, <br />requested permission to conduct the 1st Annual Mental Health - <br />A Mile of Quarters Walk beginning at 12:00 noon on Sunday, <br />April 25, 1993, utilizing the route submitted with the <br />request. <br />OF COALITION FOR RACIAL UNITY TO CONDUCT 3RD ANNUAL WALK FOR <br />RACIAL UNITY - OCTOBER 17 1993 <br />In a letter to the Board, Ms. Mary P. Bottum, Coalition For <br />Racial Unity, Logistics Committee, 1316 Marquette Boulevard, <br />South Bend, Indiana, requested permission to conduct the 3rd <br />Annual Walk For Racial Unity on Sunday, October 17, 1993. Ms. <br />Bottum submitted with her request the route to be utilized for <br />this event. <br />OF CHET WAGGONER LITTLE LEAGUE TO CONDUCT OPENING DAY PARADE - <br />MAY 8 1993 <br />Ms. Georgia Campbell, President, Chet Waggoner Little League, <br />1846 North Huey Street, South Bend, Indiana, requested <br />permission to conduct the annual opening day parade on <br />Saturday, May 8, 1993, utilizing the route submitted with the <br />request. <br />OF CASTEEL CONSTRUCTION CORPORATION TO OCCUPY A PORTION OF THE <br />RIGHT-OF-WAY ON WASHINGTON STREET FROM MICHIGAN TO ST. JOSEPH <br />STREET IN CONJUNCTION WITH PLAZA IMPROVEMENTS AT THE 1ST <br />SOURCE BANK/MARRIOTT HOTEL - APRIL 1 <br />1993 1993 - SEPTEMBER 30 <br />
