REGULAR MEETING MARCH 15, 1993 <br />Ireland Road, South Bend, Indiana, has requested permission to <br />move a house from 836 North Main Street to 316 East South Street. <br />This is a two-story wood frame house. The second house to be <br />moved is a one story wood frame house and will be moved from 116 <br />Park Lane to 516 East South Street. It is noted that Lykowski <br />Construction has been contracted by Memorial Hospital to move <br />these structures. The vacated sites will be cleared of debris and <br />the foundation holes filled in by Memorial Hospital. <br />Mr. Fozo submitted with the requests the required utility releases <br />along with favorable recommendations from the Police Department, <br />Street Department and the Division of Engineering. It is noted <br />that the required Certificate of Insurance, in the amount of <br />$5,000,000.00 was also submitted with the request. <br />Mr. Fozo indicated that the Building Department has no objections <br />to the moves as all zoning requirements are being met. <br />Therefore, Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the request be <br />approved. Mrs. Mueller seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS - STREET <br />MATERIALS <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Sam Hensley, Director, Division of <br />Transportation, requested that the Board advertise for the receipt <br />of bids for Street Department materials. Mr. Leszczynski made a <br />motion that the request be approved. Mrs. Mueller seconded the <br />motion which carried. <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS - <br />CONSTRUCTION OF QUALITY DRIVE PROJECT <br />In a Memorandum to the Board, Mr. Carl P. Littrell, Director, <br />Division of Engineering, advised that on behalf of the Department <br />of Economic Development, he requests that the Board advertise for <br />the receipt of bids for the construction of Quality Drive. Mr. <br />Littrell noted that this project will entail the construction of a <br />new concrete paved cul-de-sac in Landmark Industrial Park. <br />Therefore, Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the request be <br />approved. Mrs. Mueller seconded the motion which carried. <br />REQUEST OF SOUTH BEND AREA CRIME STOPPERS, INC. TO CONDUCT ANNUAL <br />1993 CRIME STOPPERS MOONLIGHT WALK - JUNE 13, 1993 - REFERRED <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Thomas J. Richardson, Walk Director, <br />South Bend Area Crime Stoppers, Inc., 701 West Sample Street, <br />South Bend, Indiana, requested permission to conduct the Sixth <br />Annual Crime Stoppers Moonlight Walk on Sunday, June 13, 1993 <br />beginning at Coveleski Regional Baseball Stadium at 6:30 p.m. Mr. <br />Richardson submitted with his request the route to be utilized for <br />this event. Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the request be <br />referred to the appropriate City departments and bureaus for <br />review and recommendation. Mrs. Mueller seconded the motion which <br />carried. <br />DENY REQUEST TO CLOSE ST. JOSEPH STREET, FROM MARION TO NAVARRE, <br />FOR ST. PATRICK'S DAYNEIGHBORHOOD PARTY - MARCH 17, 1993 <br />It is noted that the above referred to request, which was <br />submitted to the Board on March 8, 1993, has received favorable <br />recommendations from the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the <br />Police Department. <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised, however, that the Board is in receipt of <br />a letter from the River Bend Neighborhood Association recommending <br />the denial of this request based on past problems with student <br />
