1 <br />REGULAR MEETING NOVEMBER 7 1994 <br />REQUEST TO CLOSE MICHIGAN STREET BETWEEN WAYNE AND JEFFERSON STREETS <br />FOR "DOWNTOWN FOR THE HOLIDAYS" <br />Mr. Leszczynski noted that Ms. Rebecca Jasinski, Events Coordinator, Community Affairs, has <br />submitted a request to close Michigan Street between Wayne and Jefferson Streets on Saturday, <br />December 3, 1994, from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., in conjunction with the event "Downtown for the <br />Holidays". Further, Ms. Jasinski noted that the intent is to utilize the avenue between the two streets <br />for morning festivities which will commence at 9:00 a.m. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, <br />seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the above referred to request was forwarded to the appropriate <br />Bureaus for recommendation. <br />REQUEST FOR LICENSE APPLICATION FOR RUBBISH AND GARBAGE REMOVAL <br />SERVICE - BROWNING FERRIS INDUSTRIES OF INDIANA <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the following Rubbish and Garbage Removal Service license has been <br />received: <br />Browning Ferris Industries of Indiana, Inc. <br />57820 Charlotte Avenue <br />Elkhart, Indiana 46517 <br />It is noted that the Bureau of Solid Waste has conducted an inspection of the trucks to be used by <br />the applicant, and were found to be in compliance. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, <br />seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the request for application was forwarded to the appropriate <br />Bureaus for recommendation. <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the following <br />traffic control devices were approved: <br />REMOVAL OF: <br />LOCATION: <br />REMARKS: <br />REMOVAL OF: <br />LOCATION: <br />REMARKS: <br />NEW INSTALLATION: <br />LOCATION: <br />REMARKS: <br />Handicap Sign <br />1541 Dunham <br />El Campito Day Care has moved <br />Handicap Sign <br />1034 Bryan <br />Mr. John Popvits has passed away <br />One (1) hour parking <br />3302 Mishawaka Avenue <br />Treesh Insurance request <br />APPROVE IRREVOCABLE STANDBY LETTER OF CREDIT• <br />Mr. Larry D. Spradlin, Sr., Engineer, Division of Engineering, submitted the following Irrevocable <br />Standby Letter of Credit to the Board and recommended approval: <br />IRREVOCABLE STANDBY LETTER OF CREDIT NO 957 <br />ISSUED BY: Valley American Bank <br />FOR: West Pointe Subdivision <br />AMOUNT: $72,148.00 <br />EXPIRES: October 24, 1995 <br />IMPROVEMENT: Unimproved portion of a lift station and associated equipment <br />in the West Pointe Subdivision <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. Manier, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the Irrevocable <br />Standby Letter of Credit was approved. <br />
