REGULAR MEETING SEPTEMBER 26. 1994 <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the following five (5) <br />traffic control devices were approved: <br />1. NEW INSTALLATION: Handicap Sign <br />LOCATION: 923 S. 30th Street <br />2. NEW INSTALLATION: Handicap Sign <br />LOCATION: 809 S. Albert <br />3. NEW INSTALLATION: Handicap Sign <br />LOCATION: 1034 N. Adams <br />4. NEW INSTALLATION: No Parking Signs <br />LOCATION: Notre Dame Avenue from South Bend <br />Avenue to Angela, East Side; Scottswood <br />from Twyckenham to Oakridge, South <br />Side; White Oak from South Bend Ave. <br />to Corby, West side; Oak Ridge from <br />Edison to Corby, West side <br />5. REMOVAL Handicap Sign <br />LOCATION: 742 Portage <br />REMARKS: Citizen moved to nursing home <br />APPROVAL OF LEASE AGREEMENT - NORTHEAST NEIGHBORHOOD CENTER <br />Mr. Caldwell advised that the Board is in receipt of a Lease Agreement for the Northeast <br />Neighborhood Center, as submitted by John E. Broden, Assistant City Attorney. Further, it is noted <br />that this lease is for a period of five years unless certain specified repairs are made to the premises <br />in which case the lease term shall be for a period of fifteen (15) years. By agreement of the parties, <br />the lease may be extended for an additional five (5) years. Additionally, the City of South Bend is <br />the lessor in this lease, while Jennifer A. Morehead has signed as the President of the Northeast <br />Neighborhood Council for the lessee. Mrs. Manier made a motion to approve the lease agreement. <br />Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVAL OF BOND OF CONTRACTOR <br />Mr. Larry D. Spradlin, Sr., Engineer, Department of Engineering, submitted a recommendation to <br />the Board requesting the approval of Bond of Contractor for Jeffrey J. Sieradzki. Mr. Caldwell made <br />a motion to approve the Bond of Contractor. Mrs. Manier seconded the motion which carried. <br />FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS REPORTS <br />thirty (30) City owned and miscellaneous properties which were cleaned by the Department from <br />September 12, 1994 to September 15, 1994. Therefore, Mr. Caldwell made a motion that these lists <br />be accepted for filing. Mrs. Manier seconded the motion which carried. <br />FILING OF HUMANE SOCIETY MONTHLY REPORT - JULY 1994 <br />Mr. Caldwell indicated that the Board is in receipt of the monthly report as submitted by the Humane <br />Society of St. Joseph County, Inc., for the month of July, 1994. The report indicates the type and <br />numbe rof animals handled for the City of South Bend. Mr. Caldwll made a motion that the report <br />be accepted for filing as submitted. Mrs. Manier seconded the motion which carried. <br />
