<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the License
<br />Applications were approved.
<br />- PUBLIC PARKING FACILITIES
<br />Mr. Leszczynski noted that favorable recommendations have been received by the Fire Department
<br />and Code Enforcement, for License Applications for Public Parking Facilities for the following:
<br />Century Center Associates, Inc.
<br />113-115 W. Jefferson Boulevard
<br />400 South Main
<br />321-329 South Michigan
<br />102-119 N. Michigan
<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the License
<br />Applications for Public Parking Facilities were approved.
<br />- RUBBISH AND GARBAGE REMOVAL SERVICE
<br />Mr. Leszczynski noted that favorable recommendations have been received by the Department of
<br />Code Enforcement for a License Application for Garbage and Rubbish Removal Service for V& J
<br />Removal, 1804 Lincolnway East, South Bend, Indiana. It is noted that the Bureau of Solid Waste
<br />has inspected the vehicles to be used, and have been found them to be in compliance. Therefore,
<br />upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the License
<br />Application was approved.
<br />- SCRAP DEALER
<br />Mr. Leszczynski noted that favorable recommendations have been received by Code Enforcement
<br />and the Fire Department, in reference to the License Application for a Scrap Dealer for South Bend
<br />Scrap & Processing, 1305 Prairie Avenue, South Bend, Indiana. Upon a motion made by Mr.
<br />Leszczysnki, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and Carried, the License Application was approved.
<br />REQUESTS REFERRED:
<br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. Manier, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the following requests
<br />were referred to the appropriate Bureaus and Departments for review and recommendation:
<br />- TO CONDUCT MOTORCADE - COLFAX DAY
<br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Paul T. Kunz, Grand Encampment of Indiana, 56060 Currant Road,
<br />Mishawaka, Indiana, requested permission to conduct a motorcade to the City Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.
<br />on May 21, 1995, in conjunction with Colfax Day.
<br />- TO ENCROACH ON PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY
<br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Don Berta, Gibson -Lewis, 1001 West 1 lth Street, Mishawaka, Indiana,
<br />requested permission to place a 30 yard dumpster on the parking lane of Navarre Street, 100 linear
<br />feet from Michigan Street in South Bend. Mr. Berta noted that Gibson Lewis will be doing
<br />renovation work for Memorial Hospital and will need the dumpster to be in place for six (6) months.
<br />- TO CONDUCT A PARADE
<br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Dan Moreno, Chet Waggoner Little League, Post Office Box 3744,
<br />South Bend, Indiana, requested permission to conduct the Chet Waggoner Little League Annual
<br />Parade, on April 29, 1995.
<br />- ENCROACH INTO PUBLIC -RIGHT-OF-WAY
<br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Kenneth Fedder, Allen, Fedder, Herendeen & Kowals, 205 West
<br />Washington, South Bend, Indiana, requested permission to permit a portion of a sign at South Bend
<br />Discount Liquor, 3227 West Sample Street, to extend into the public right-of-way.
<br />APPROVE RELEASE AND APPROVAL OF EXCAVATION BONDS
<br />Mr. Larry D. Spradlin, Sr., Engineer, Division of Engineering, recommended that the following
<br />Excavation Bonds be released/approved as follows:
