<br />REGULAR MEETING AUGUST 4, 1997
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT MADISON FOUNDATION SALMON
<br />RUN - EAST RACE
<br />Mr. Caldwell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Park Department, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a
<br />request as submitted by Ms. Kelly Cassidy, Madison Foundation, Inc., 403 East Madison, South
<br />Bend, Indiana to conduct the above referred to event, on Saturday, October 11, 1997, from 9:00 a.m.
<br />until 2:00 p.m., at the East Race. Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and
<br />carried, the recommendation was approved, subject to the Park Board of Commissioners approval.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO PROVIDE TRAFFIC CONTROL - TEAMSTERS
<br />PICNIC
<br />Mr. Caldwell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted
<br />by Mr. Robert Warnock, Teamsters Union No. 364, 2405 East Edison, South Bend, Indiana to
<br />conduct the above referred to events, on Friday, August 8, 1997, beginning at 1:00 p.m.; and
<br />Saturday, August 9, 1997, from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., at 2405 East Edison Road, South Bend,
<br />Indiana. Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the
<br />recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT RIVER PARK NEIGHBORHOOD
<br />ASSOCIATION CRIME STOPPERS WALK
<br />Mr. Caldwell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted
<br />by Sgt. Bob Stoynoff, South Bend Police Department, to conduct the above referred to walk, on
<br />Tuesday, August 5, 1997, beginning at 7:00 p.m., on the designated route as submitted. Upon a
<br />motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the recommendation was
<br />approved.
<br />APPROVE CONTRACTOR AND EXCAVATION BONDS
<br />Mr. Larry D. Spradlin, Sr., Engineer, Division of Engineering, recommended that the following
<br />Contractors and Excavation Bonds be approved as follows:

<br />Mr. Caldwell made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and that the Bonds be approved
<br />as outlined above. Mr. Littrell seconded the motion which carried.

<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the following traffic
<br />control devices were approved:
