AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE #1808 ADOPTED NOVEMBER 8, 1915, WITH <br />REFERENCE TO A PLUMBING CODE FOR THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND PROVIDING <br />FOR ALL MATTERS CONCERNING PLUMBING, BUILDING DRAINAGE AND <br />BUILDING VENTILATING AND WATER SUPPLY AND GAS PIPING IN- <br />SOFAR AS THEY EFFECT THE PLUMBING AND BUILDING DRAIN- <br />AGE AND SANITATION IN ALL BUILDINGS ERECTED OR TO <br />BE ERECTED IN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, <br />AND ESTABLISHING AN EXAMINING BOARD, A CHIEF <br />PLUMBING INSPECTOR AND DEPUTIES, AND PLAC- <br />ING ALL UNDER THE JURISDICTION OF THE <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC HEALTH OF THE CITY <br />OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA <br />Be it.ordained by the Common Council of the City of South <br />Bend, Indiana: <br />Section I. That Ordinance #1808 adopted by the Common <br />Council of the City of South Bend on November 8, 1915, be <br />amended to read as hereinafter set forth and to provide that <br />it shall be unlawful for any person, persons, firm or cor- <br />poration to do, cause or permit to be done any plumbing or <br />building drainage or the repairing of any fixtures or traps, <br />or the connection of any domestic hot water heaters or boilers <br />or gas water heaters of any kind or the installation or re- <br />pairing of any water, waste or vent pipes, drains, water <br />softeners, refrigeration or air conditioning equipment or <br />any other plumbing or drainage work not herein mentioned that <br />is or will be connected to any Water service, sewer, cesspool <br />or septic tank except according to and in compliance with <br />the following rules and regulations: <br />Section II. Scope of ordinance. The provisions and <br />requirements of this ordinance shall apply to all exten- <br />sions, alterations, changes or additions, or other work to <br />
