On Motion of Councilman Rokop the Card of Thanks was <br />accepted and ordered to be placed on file. January 4 5, 1934. <br />To the Honorable Council of City of South Bend Ind. <br />Gentlemen: In regards to our South Bend Fire Department, I have the honor to say that South Be <br />Fire Dept. is one of best in the State for their loyalty and faithful service. <br />To my judgment they are under paid according to other cities. 34 cents an Wr in not enough pa <br />for a fireman.
