A~nroval of Minutes of the Special MeetingLof Thursdav July 15. 1993.
NEW BUSINESS
a. Authori~ approval requested for Resolution No 81 ayyrovine and acceptine the transfer
of real nro~pertv from the State of Indiana.
Mrs. Kolata explained that the State of Indiana wishes to transfer a portion of land at the
intersection of the By-pass and the Indiana Toll Road. The state needed nine acres of
land to construct the west ramp of Exit 72 of the toll road, but the land the state needed
rendered the remaining parcel (19 acres) damages to 95 % of its value without access to
Old Cleveland Road. So the state bought the entire parcel in a condemnation agreement
and we agreed to buy the unused portion from them. We will eventually put in the
infrastructure necessary to create access to Olive or to Old Cleveland and make the
parcel available for development. We have agreed to pay $387,000 for the 19.26 acres.
However, we will pay $287,000 now and $100,000 at a later time, yet to be agreed
upon.
-1-
