g96011 e.' <br /> Public Works and Property Vacation Committee <br /> 9o- do &moose 6oruicil ff t/.& grip of JoatA ead <br /> The January 26, 1998 meeting of the Public Works and Property Vacation Committee was <br /> called to order by its Chairperson, Council Member David Varner at 3:30 p.m. in the <br /> Council informal meeting room. <br /> Persons in attendance included Council Members: Aranowski, Kelly, Ujdak, Varner, <br /> Coleman, Pfeifer, Sniadecki, Broden and Hosinski; Micheal Danch, Robert Henry, Jon <br /> Hunt, Cleo Hickey, Terry Bland, Phil Kalamaros, Carl Littrell, Anne Bruneel, James <br /> Cierzniak and Kathy Cekanski-Farrand. <br /> The first item on the agenda was to review Bill No. 6-98 which is a request to vacate an <br /> alley in Beck's 1st edition. <br /> • Mr. Micheal Danch of Peirce and Associates made the presentation. He noted that this <br /> vacation is on behalf of the Robert Henry Corporation and the Henry-Williams Inc. <br /> Corporation. The vacation would allow a more efficient use of the property located on <br /> either side of the vacated right-a-way. <br /> Council Member Aranowski noted that the Board of Public Works sent the proposed <br /> vacation to the Common Council with a favorable recommendation (report attached). <br /> Following discussion, Council Member Aranowski, made a motion seconded by Council <br /> Member Ujdak that Bill No. 6-98 be recommended favorably to Council. The motion <br /> passed. <br /> The Committee then reviewed Bill No.7-98 which is a request to vacate Megan Beeler Dr. <br /> North. Mr.Micheal Danch of Pierce and Associates Inc. made the presentation on behalf <br /> of the petitioners. <br /> Mr. Danch noted that the purpose of the vacation is to provide a more efficient use of the <br /> property on each side of the vacated right-of-way. <br /> Mr. Hunt spoke in favor of the proposed vacation. Council President Coleman noted that <br /> there had been ongoing discussions for the use of this property and proposed <br /> developments. <br /> Following discussion, Council Member Aranowski, made a motion, seconded by Council <br /> Member Ujdak, that Bill No. 7-98 be recommended favorably to Council. The motion <br /> passed. Council Member Aranowski also noted that the Board of Public Works sent the <br /> bill to the Common Council with a favorable recommendation (report attached). <br /> The Committee then reviewed Bill No. 11-98 (substitute version) which is a vacation <br /> request involving the Moms Civic Auditorium. <br /> • <br />
