Public Works and Property Vacation Committee <br /> January 26, 1998 <br /> Page 2 <br /> Cleo Hickey made the presentation. It was noted that the Board of Public Works sent the <br /> proposed vacation to the Common Council with a favorable recommendation but limited the <br /> vacation to the building line of the LaSalle Grill. It was noted that the Substitute Bill <br /> conforms to the request made by the Board of Public Works thereby reducing the distance <br /> from 198 feet to 132 feet. <br /> Mr.Kalamaros spoke in favor of the Substitute Bill. <br /> Following further discussion, Council Member Ujdak made a motion seconded by Council <br /> Member Varner,that Substitute Bill No. 11-98 be recommended favorably to Council. The <br /> motion passed. <br /> Council Member Varner then noted that he had been in contact with Mr. Tim Banta, of <br /> American Electric Company, with regard to his letter on street ono es and street lights. <br /> Council President Coleman suggested that Mr. Banta be invited to the next meeting of the <br /> Public Works and Property Vacation Committee to discuss this matter in greater detail. <br /> There being no further business to come before the Committee,the meeting was adjourned <br /> at 3:50 p.m. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Council Member David Varner <br /> Chairperson,Public Works and Property Vacation Committee <br /> attachments <br />
