All members present. <br />J <br />Pole and Wire Inspector Beaning reported on complaint filed by Ed. <br />Knoblock of pole in front of. window and guy wire at residence No. 121 St. Paul Place. <br />as follows:- This is a Rome Tel. Company pole. Frith -nothing on the pole but a guy wire. <br />This guy pole should be a small pole placed on tlae d1ild-ing line to the west of this <br />property and a small guy wire. The Board ordered th this company be notified to <br />remove this pole. <br />The following c ommun icat ion requesting permission to move poles, received, <br />also pole and wire inspector's report filed with same as follows: - <br />South Bend, Indiana. <br />° February 28th.,1918. <br />The Honorble Board of Public Works, <br />.South Bend, Indiana. _ <br />Gent lgmen: - <br />�/ In connection with our construction work bn this City our plans, of which <br />you have a copy , show the poles on Portage Avenue from Navarre Street to Angella Ave.,. <br />to be removed; we made the necessary changes in our lines to permit this removal byt find <br />the City has a fire alarm or police circuit on these poles; the Street Railway people <br />are using a number of these poles whic-h they probably will purchase but your wires are on <br />sixteen of them that the Street Railway people do not have any contacts on and we would <br />like to remove these poles within the next two weeks, if it is possible for you to remove <br />your wires. <br />Please advise us of your action regarding this matter and oblige. <br />Yours truly, <br />RECEIVERS, CENTRAL UNION TELEPHONE CO., <br />E. Telephone Poles which the <br />Street Car Co. has no connections on except one pole at the corner Of Vassar Ave. This <br />one pole the city will reset and use; temporarily until later when this one pole will <br />be removed°by the City Electrical department and the pole will then be returned to the <br />C. U. Telephone Company. <br />Board approved of Pole and wire inspector's report and the Clerk instructed to <br />notify said Central Union Telephone Company. <br />V Communication received read and placed on file fanm J. Jolly in regard to <br />a 14tefor a fire station at the corner of Mishawaka Avenue and 6th. , ' Street River Park. <br />Game read and placed on File. <br />Renewal certificate for excavation bond of Bruno De Peape for the year 1918 <br />was read and placed on file.. <br />'/ ,Financial reports of the Building Department and Electrieial department <br />filed by the Commissioner Commissioner and City Electrician for the month of February <br />1918. Same read and placed on file. <br />City Cemetery sexton filed f inane ial report for the City Cemetery for the <br />month of February 1918. Same read and approved by the Beard and the Clerk was instructed <br />to notify Cemetery Sexton het collection of the outstanding accounts to February 28th.,1918 <br />and render an itemized report of this at meeting to be held Tuesday March 12th.,1918 <br />at 10:00 A.M. <br />City Engineer F. J.
