a <br />Board met in regular session at 10-00 A.-U. All members present. <br />Mr. H. B. Reinsigen, Asst. Principal Engineer of the New York <br />Eentral Railway Company with Attorney Hubbell met with the Beard and discussed ° <br />some of the plans for. track •separation in this City. The Beard informed Mr. Reinsagen <br />that they would adapt a resolution ordering plans on April 3rd. 917._ Mr. Reinsgane <br />informed the Board that his companies plans would be ready to file by May lst.,1917 <br />and probably some work started about July 13t.,1917. <br />Communication received from John H. Haughton in regard to the <br />dirty condition of Division Street across from Grand Trunk Ry. Company passenger <br />V/ station. Same referred to the Street Commissioner for, invesiligation. <br />Petition received for a light on Oakland Street.. Same read.and <br />✓ placed on file: <br />Remonstrance filed against pavement on kst alley north of Thomas <br />Street from Laurel Street to Chapel Lane, Same read and placed on file. <br />TO THE HONORABLE BOARD OF PUBLIC.WORKS: <br />Referring to remodeling Police barn as per drawings submitted it is <br />estimated that the same will cost approximately $1,000.00. <br />To plaster ceiling and construct plaster .partition instead of <br />wood partition, and cover floor witheement 1" thick as su1150,00 <br />gested, in the brick building <br />across the alley, anadditionalexpense of approximately would be required <br />making atonal of $10150.00 <br />Very respectfully, <br />C. PERKINS, <br />Commissioner of Buildings. <br />Placed on file as no funds report of City Controller. <br />Petition received and placed on file for vacation of Main -Street <br />from South side of Ewing Avenue to Jay Street. Same read and placed on file. <br />Release granted to the American Surety Company for release of <br />James Nelson Bond No. SB1456, for excavating in the Street., <br />Bids were received and read for inspection of asphaltic pavement in <br />✓ this City this' year as fsll*ws: <br />Chicagd Paving Laboratory. <br />Two and one guarter (02k cents ) per sq. yd. <br />Robert'W. Hunt and Co. Engineers at....$ 285.00 per month. <br />J. W. Howard. C.E.E.M. <br />7/8 cents per sq, yet, with the City furnishing inspector and paying <br />for same and to give Mr. Howard $25.00 per day and all expenses for each trip made. <br />Pittsburgh Testing Company. <br />One man system Two cents ($.02) Three cents (#.03$ per sq. yard. <br />Dow & Smith Chdmical Engineers. <br />Three CCU) cents per sq. yard. <br />Isaac Van Trunig. <br />Asphaltic concrete * cents per sq. yard and Sheet as ajt--�. <br />two ($.02) cents -.per sq. yd. <br />The Award awarded the contract to Isaac Van Trump at the above <br />prints. <br />
