The form relates to the proposed <br />designation of the Sons of Israel Synagogue located at 420 S William Street and owned by the <br />Redevelopment Commission since 2008. With Commission approval of the form, a consultant will <br />be hired by HPC to begin the process of preparing a designation package for the Synagogue. <br />At the present time, the Synagogue has not been restored or modified as part of the work done at <br />the Coveleski Stadium. The Synagogue and adjacent property were left in a way that minor <br />modifications to prior work would need to be done to integrate the building into the park complex. <br />The placement on the National Register would not hamper redevelopment or repurposing of the <br />building and would serve as a complement and recognition for the Synagogue which was built and <br />dedicated in 1901. <br />Staff requests favorable approval of this request. <br />What We Do Today Makes A Difference! <br />
