This agreement was undertaken as part of the improvements in and around the Memorial Hospital campus, and to specifically create a unified look of the buildings on the east side of N. Michigan St., including the Skywalk over this major thoroughfare leading into downtown South Bend. The Troyer Group is in process of designing new facades for these structures. The cost of the agreement approved on May 24 was $14,900. As this process has progressed, it has expanded from facades only to include cohesive design features for the open parking and landscaped areas between Bartlett and Navarre. In addition, staff would like to include the old Nipsco building at the corner of Michigan and La Salle into this fagade improvement program. To accommodate these changes, an addendum to the May 24 agreement is attached. This addendum covers architectural services for final concept boards, two concepts for the Nipsco building, and to provide preliminary construction costs for all components of the project. Cost for these additional services is $4,600, plus expenses. Staff requests approval of this Professional Services Agreement Addendum in a not to exceed amount of $5,000.
