(ADG) will provide design <br />and consulting services to the City of South Bend (Owner) for the new Century Center Island Park <br />Pedestrian Bridize. <br />PROJECT UNDERSTANDING <br />The Project Site is the Century Center, located at 120 South Saint Joseph Street, South Bend. <br />The City of South Bend wishes to have a second pedestrian bridge structure designed and constructed that <br />would span the white water canal and "connect" the Century Center and Island Park. The bridge would be <br />located off of the existing exterior east terrace (directly adjacent to the Great Hall) and span east to the <br />west perimeter wall of Island Park. The bridge will provide greater ease of Island circulation and provide <br />a more convenient circulation path from the Pavilion event space to /from the Century Center. <br />In addition, the second bridge follows the original design intent of the Century Center's architect Philip <br />Johnson. <br />The Proiect Budget shall be determined as part of ADG's scope of service. <br />ADG SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />1. ADG shall be responsible for the following services: <br />DESIGN DEVELOPMENT PHASE <br />a. Meet with designated representatives; Review the specific objectives, schedule and budget <br />limitations to ascertain the requirements of the Project, including the review of alternate <br />approaches to design and construction. <br />922 E.
