UT$ <br />O <br />Community & Economic Development <br />1200 County -City Building, 227 West Jefferson, South Bend, Indiana 46601 -1830 Phone 574/235 -9371 Fax 574/235 -9021 <br />To: Redevelopment Commission <br />From: Bill Schalliol, Economic Development Planner qro�o <br />Subject: Professional Service Proposal — Fred's Transmission Demolition <br />Demolition Oversight and Environmental Review <br />Date: December 22, 2010 <br />Attached is a supplemental proposal for professional services from Wightman Petrie Inc., <br />related to the demolition and site preparation of the Fred's Transmission & Clutch site and <br />the Coveleski Housing Block. In April 2010, the Redevelopment Commission approved a <br />proposal with Wightman Petrie to provide a Phase 1, Demo Spec preparation and some <br />instruction services related to the project. The total cost of the contract was $27,220.00. <br />Due to the expansion of the scope of services to provide curb and walk and site grading <br />and landscaping for the entire site, additional demolition oversight and environmental <br />testing and additional services related to the demolition management, an expansion of <br />services proposal is needed. The scope of the new contract would be a not to exceed <br />amount of $17,000.00 to cover the final amount of the project. The total combined project <br />budget for this oversight would be $44,220.00. <br />Staff requests approval of the supplemental proposal. <br />What We Do Today Makes A Difference! <br />
