<br />this. being; the date set for hearing on Resolution No. 4 for-othe. separation Fff
<br />grade crossings of'the Now York Central Railroad Company on the following
<br />streets in said city: Chapin Street,.Scott.Street Prairie Avenue, Lafayette
<br />Street, Main Street, Branson Street, Michigan -Street, Fellows Street, Samplt-

<br />Attorney Buezkowski appeared representing properly owners in the
<br />west part of the city, and objected to form of said Resdlutio that it did not
<br />p ro'ide for, elevating tracks over Arnold street and a 11 giros ings up to -Olive
<br />street,, and objected to track_ elevation funiess these were included.
<br />Among the ppropperty owners present were Stanley P Demski, Wm.
<br />Gammon and Chas. Niedbalski. Attorney Harry G. Wair appeared for the Chicaago$
<br />SOUTH Bend « Northern Indiana Railway Com any. attorney John'G. Yeagley
<br />appeared For the New York Central Railroad Company.

<br />;February 26th 1924-, at St. Hedwigs Hall, remonstrate against said Resolution
<br />No. 4 in its present form and pray that the aforesaid Resolution No. 4 be
<br />modified so as to provide for the.elevation of the tracks of the New York Cen-
<br />tral Railroad Company, and of 4-he Grand "'rank "esters Ashy Company over all
<br />of the street crossings over which the tracks of the'said railroad companies
<br />pass between Chapin and Olive streets inclusive.
<br />8'or grounds of remonstrance the undersigned declare that, the public
<br />necessity and convenience of the proposed improvement demand and require the -
<br />modification prayed; that the plan proposed in said R esolution No. 4 elevates
<br />s number of the existing grade crossings several feet thereby making the use of
<br />said crossings extremely dangerous to human life; that Division, Walnut and
<br />Olive streets are major arterial streets and used of necessity by large numbers of
<br />people and particularly by those who reside west of Chapin street.,

<br />which the undersigned, citizens and residents of South Bend, cer ify to.as a
