RR proposed plan as described in said Resolution for the elevateinn of the railroad tracks of the New ' York Central Railroad company, and of the Grand Trunk Western,Railway Rompiny: and Whereas, .by said proposed plan no cansideration is given to the. elevation of tracks of the aforesaid railroad companies at the several crossings over which.the tracks of said railroad companies crosses between Chapin street; and Olive Street; Therefore, be it resolved that it,is the sense.of this meeting that we citizens and residents of the Nest Side df' the City of South Bend are against the present proposed p d because it -does not include the crossings over which the Tracks of.Lha said reail- foad -companieis 'cross- between Chapin and Olive Streets; and Be it resolved further that it is the sense of this meeting that the citizens and residents of the West Side df vthe city of South" Bend are in favor of the track elevate ion of the several railroads providing such elevation includes the street crossings be- tween Chapin and. In the matter of Resolution -No. 4, Providing for Grade REMONSTRANCE. Separation at certain street crossings.and the elevation of certain railroad tracks in the city of South Bend. For grounds of remonstance tie undersigned declare that the public necessity and convenience of the proposed improvement demand and require the modification prayed; that the plan proposed in said Resolution No. 4 elevates a number of the existing grade crossings several feet thereby making the use of said crossing extremely dangerous to human life; that Division, walnut and Olive streets are major arterialstreets and - used of necessity by a large numbers of people and particularly by those who reside west of Chapin street, .
