��Y�]�i�Y [���laC�3��► ��fil <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS FOR <br />A PILOT PROGRAM FOR PAVEMENT TEMPERATURE MONITORING <br />WHEREAS, the City of South Bend Board of Public Works ("Board") is the contracting <br />body for the City of South Bend, Indiana ("City"); and <br />WHEREAS, enFocus will assist the City's Division of Traffic and Lighting to mount <br />infrared temperature sensors ("sensors") for pavement temperature measurement on six (6) traffic <br />light poles in various locations throughout the City (see Exhibit B attached hereto for tentative, <br />planned locations); and <br />WHEREAS, to power and send the data collected, enFocus will need connections for <br />power and Ethernet installed to the sensor; and <br />WHEREAS, the sensors will be mounted temporarily for the 2017-2018 Winter and <br />Spring seasons; and <br />WHEREAS, all installations and removals of sensors are to be paid for by the City; and <br />WHEREAS, the sensors readings will be compared to manual temperature readings taken <br />daily to validate the accuracy and reliability of the sensors; and <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that temporary sensors shall be supplied by <br />enFocus and installed on traffic poles in various locations consistent with Exhibit B by Street <br />Department, Traffic or their agents and such installations as directed by City Engineering. At <br />conclusion of the test period within 90 days the equipment will be returned to enFocus. There is <br />no compensation by the City to enFocus or enFocus to the City for this pilot program. <br />ADOPTED at a meeting of the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana <br />held on November 14, 2017 at 1308 County -City Building, 227 West Jefferson Boulevard, South <br />Bend, Indiana 46601. <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />Gary A.
