h ~ <<~ Redevelopment Commission Staff Report Blue Waters Group Contract Extension 12/15/09 The current Phase II contract with The Blue Waters Group for marketing/communication runs through the end of this year. The proposed extension will run to 6/1/10, and is being sought because various portions of the contract have been delayed as a result of unanticipated outside circumstances, neither related to the vendor nor to the City. The following activities have been delayed: -- 6.0 Entrepreneur Business Outreach -- Seminars to attract businesses/entrepreneurs have been delayed because they were felt to be premature in 2009. -- 9.1 Media Relations -- national journalist tour/seminar has been delayed -- 1 1.1 SWOT Analysis -- has not been completed pending result of additional research by Notre Dame. -- 11.2 Competitor Analysis -- Has been delayed because of anticipated findings from Notre Dame While some activities have been delayed, there have been increased efforts in other areas, particularly in the creation of video content for use online and in other sources. Staff recommends the Redevelopment Commission approve the contract extension to 6/1/10 for the Blue Waters contract/
