Klosinski, Assistant City Engineer <br />SUBJECT: Agenda Request Form — Request to Advertise <br />Project No. 117-025 WWTP Belt Filter Press #4 Rehabilitation <br />DATE: March 6, 2017 <br />The Division of Utilities is requesting the Board of Public Works approval to advertise for the <br />receipt of public bids for Project No. 117-025 Wastewater Treatment Plant Belt Filter Press #4 <br />Rehabilitation. <br />Donohue & Associates completed the Project Specifications for the subject project. The Division <br />of Utilities is prepared to begin bidding the project. <br />Project History <br />The Wastewater Treatment Plant currently operates four (4) belt filter presses. Environmental <br />Services intends to rebuild one (1) belt filter press each year over a four year period (2015 thru <br />2018) as part of its ongoing preventative maintenance schedule. Due to the project cost for the <br />rehabilitation, this project will require a Public Bid process. <br />The Belt Filter Press #2 and Belt Filter Press #3 were rebuilt in 2015 and 2016, respectively. . <br />This project will rebuild the third of four presses. <br />Biddino Schedule <br />Advertise: <br />March 17, 2017 and March 24, 2017 <br />Pre -Bid Meeting: <br />March 29, 2017 <br />Bid Opening: <br />April 11, 2017 <br />Bid Award: <br />April 11, 2017 or April 25, 2017 <br />The funding sources for the construction of this project is Utilities, Wastewater, Other <br />Equipment (Account 641-0630-793-36-05). <br />If there are any questions regarding the subject project, please contact Al Greek (Ext. 4210) or <br />Jacob M.
