Therefore, Mr. Inks made a motion that the <br />Clerk send a letter to the petitioner addressing these concerns. Mr. Gilot seconded the <br />motion which carried. <br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION -CANDLELIGHT WALK - ERSKINE <br />BOULEVARD ASSOCIATION <br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by Traffic and <br />Lighting, Park Department, Engineering, Police Department and the City Attorney's <br />office, in reference to a request as submitted by Mr. Mike Jeffers, Erskine Boulevard <br />Association, to conduct the above referred to Candlelight Walk, on December 16, 2006, <br />on the designated route as submitted. Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by <br />Mr. Inks and carried, the Candlelight Walk was approved. <br />TABLE RECOMMENDATION -STREET VACATION -VINE STREET BETWEEN <br />20TH AND 21sT STREET <br />Mr. Gilot stated that unfavorable recommendations have been received by the Area Plan <br />Commission, Community and Economic Development, Fire Department, and <br />Environmental Services, in reference to a request as submitted by Ms. Krista Bailey, 945 <br />South 21S` Street, South Bend, Indiana, to vacate the above referred to street. Concerns of <br />access to I.U.S.B. campus were expressed by all of the departments, access by Fire and <br />Police Departments and access to garages and alleys were a concern with the Area Plan <br />Commission. Mr. Bodnar stated that possible solutions are being investigated. Upon a <br />motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the Vine Street Vacation <br />was tabled. <br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT CHAPIN PARK <br />ASSOCIATION CANDLELIGHT WALK <br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by Traffic and <br />Lighting, Park Department, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in <br />reference to a request as submitted by Mr. Stan Molenda, Chapin Park Association, to <br />conduct the above referred to Candlelight Walk, on December 17, 2006, on the <br />designated route as submitted. Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks <br />and carried, the Chapin Park Association Candlelight Walk was approved. <br />APPROVE AND/OR RELEASE CONTRACTOR AND EXCAVATION BONDS <br />Mr. Anthony Molnar, Division of Engineering, recommended that the following <br />Contractor and Excavation Bonds be approved and/or released as follows: <br />BOND OF CONTRACTOR <br />Sary Thach Approved Effective November 27, 2006, <br />Pursuant to Resolution No. 100-2000 <br />J.A.M. Construction Released Effective December 11, 2006 <br />Mr. Littrell made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and that the Bonds be <br />approved and/or released as outlined above.
