~!~ <br />SPECIAL MEETING NOVEMBER 6, 2006 <br />A special meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at 9:33 a.m. on Monday, <br />November 6, 2006, by Board President Gary A. Gilot, with Mr. Carl P. Littrell present. <br />Mr. Donald E. Inks was not present. Also present was Board Attorney Thomas Bodnar. <br />AGENDA ITEM ADDED <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Gilot and carried the following <br />item was added to the agenda: <br />- Dedication of Right-of--Way for Dylan Drive <br />OPENING OF QUOTATIONS/AWARD QUOTATION - BARTLETT STREET <br />LIGHTING -MICHIGAN STREET TO LAFAYETTE BOULEVARD - PROJECT NO <br />106-082 (MEDICAL TIFF <br />Mr. Gilot advised that this was the date set for the receiving and opening of sealed <br />Quotations for the above referenced project. The following Quotations were opened and <br />read: <br />TRANS TECH ELECTRIC <br />4601 Cleveland <br />South Bend, Indiana 46628 <br />Quotation was submitted by Mr. John Ferro <br />QUOTATION: $41,255.00 <br />MICHIANA CONTRACTING, INC. <br />7843 Lilac Road <br />Plymouth, Indiana 46536 <br />Quotation was submitted by Mr. Donald Wedel <br />QUOTATION: $56,250.00 <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Gilot and carried, the above <br />Quotations were referred to the Division of Engineering for review and recommendation. <br />After reviewing those bids, Mr. Rob Nichols, Engineering, recommends that the Board <br />award the contract to the lowest, responsive and responsible bidder, Trans Tech Electric, <br />in the amount of $41,255.00. Therefore, Mr. Gilot made a motion that the <br />recommendation be accepted and the bid be awarded as outlined above. Mr. Littrell <br />seconded the motion, which carried. <br />OPENING OF QUOTATIONS - IRELAND AND FELLOWS SIDEWALK <br />IMPROVEMENTS -NORTHEAST CORNER OF IRELAND ROAD AND FELLOWS <br />STREET - PROJECT NO. 106-084 (SOUTHSIDE TIFI <br />Mr. Gilot advised that this was the date set for the receiving and opening of sealed <br />Quotations for the above referenced project.
