Chamberlin, 574 -532 -5242, <br />jchambergsouthbendin.gov (add to e -mail list) <br />Matt Harmon, SBACC <br />Earnest calls meeting to order @ 6:30 p.m. <br />Minutes: <br />Motion to accept minutes from 3/15/16, 1st- Becky, 2nd -Barb, 4 ayes <br />New Business: <br />Becky and Matt discuss the Memorial Day parade. Matt confirms that SBACC will participate in <br />the parade, including a float <br />-Emily follows up on roll call with police and SBACC officers having a meeting in regards to <br />our local ordinance and what can/can't be enforced, which department is responsible for <br />-Becky talked with Police chief and is calling Jeff 4/6/16 to schedule a meeting the following <br />week. <br />- Emily: will this be a preliminary meeting? <br />- Becky: brainstorming meeting and I'll take notes so you guys have a better idea <br />- Emily: it would be a good idea for all of most or all of the commission <br />- Becky: I know the county police are writing a lot of their citations for the humane society. Can <br />the police write a citation since they have the capability? <br />- Matt/Jim: Police can write ordinances, but typically will call animal control <br />- Becky: Instead of calling the police, if it's an animal welfare issue... <br />
