Inks, Member <br />MARCH 13, 2006 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at 9:30 a.m. on <br />Monday, March 13, 2006, by Board President Gary A. Gilot, with Mr. Carl P. Littrell and <br />Mr. Donald E. Inks present. Also present was Board Attorney Thomas Bodnar. <br />AGENDA ITEMS ADDED <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried. the followin<_< <br />items were added: <br />- Elevator Maintenance Contract -Morris Civic/Palais Royale -Otis Elevator <br />- Proposals -Fiber/Conduit for Metronet Laterals (6) Locations -Trans Tech <br />- Intent to Award -Police Patrol Vehicles <br />- Transpo Agreement <br />APPROVE MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks, and carried, the minutes of <br />the agenda session and the regular meeting of the Board held on February 23 and 27, <br />2006, were approved. <br />ELECTION OF BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS PRESIDENT <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Inks, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, Mr. Gary Gilot <br />was elected Board of Public Works President for year 2006. <br />PUBLIC HEARING - SALE/EXCHANGE OF PROPERTY - NORTIIP,~S'I' <br />QUARTER OF SECTION 30, TOWNSHIP 37 <br />Mr. Gilot advised that this was the date set for the Board's Public T-Tearing concerning <br />the sale and exchange of property near Ireland and Ironwood Roads, the northeast quarter <br />of Section 30, Township 37. <br />Mr. Bernie Feeney, Lang, Feeney and Associates, South Bend, Indiana, was present, and <br />stated that Lang, Feeney and Associates would like to exchange property with the Citv of <br />South Bend and execute the deeds associated with the exchange. Mr. Feeney stated <br />Ullery Development, Lang Feeney and Associates' client, has possession of a propcrt~ ~~f <br />equal value and size, and they would like to exchange this property with the property <br />noted above. The exchange would allow them to develop the property for housing, and <br />would have no impact on the existing retention basin. In addition, the exchange meets <br />the zoning classification in this area.
