South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Rescheduled Regular Meeting -August 26, 2009 <br />and registered neighborhood associations <br />were sent notice of the Public Hearing; (5) <br />As of 10:00 a.m., August 26, 2009, there <br />were 0 written remonstrances received <br />related to Resolution No.2596. <br />Mr. Meteiver noted that this Public Hearing <br />was also originally scheduled for July 24, but <br />could not be held without a quorum. The <br />meeting was rescheduled to this time. All <br />those who appeared for the July 21 meeting <br />and all who were originally notified of the <br />July 21 Public Hearing were given notice of <br />the new time. <br />Ms. Jones opened the Public Hearing for PUBLIC HEARING oN RrSOLUTION No. 2596 <br />whoever wished to be heard regarding <br />Resolution No. 2596. <br />REPRESENTATIVE FROM AIRGAS: We <br />have a property on Lafayette St. Are you <br />intending to acquire it? Mr. Relos responded <br />that he has had discussions with Leigh Purdy <br />about acquiring the property. Staff is putting <br />it on the acquisition list so we could move <br />forward if we come to mutual agreement on a <br />price. The representative asked if the <br />company should hold off on listing it with a <br />realtor. Mr. Relos responded that that is <br />entirely up to the owners of Airgas. The <br />company might want to wait until the <br />appraisals come in. <br />SPEAKER NO. 2: Does the property owner <br />have the right to decide if and when to sell. <br />Mr. Relos responded that the property owner <br />does. <br />SPEAKER NO. 3: My house is in the 1500 <br />block of Indiana Avenue, south side. Is my <br />house part of this plan? Mr. Relos responded <br />that this plan does not affect any one on the <br />
