undercutting the Park Department’s greens fees. He felt that another City owned operation <br />should be more cooperative with other operations. Director St. Clair agreed with him and <br />said that he had discussed it with the Mayor to some extent. <br /> <br /> <br />X.Comments by the Zoo Director <br /> <br />1. Mr. DeRosa said that the Zoo’s official response to the reaccreditation inspection will be <br />sent by August 10. This will address any concerns the inspection team raised in their <br />recent inspection. <br />2. Caging replacement and painting are underway to meet issues from the inspection. <br />3. Renovation of the chimp area is starting. <br />4. The inspection went very well and there were only 5 issues noted. They were impressed <br />with the effort and expense that was invested in the Zoo since the last inspection. <br /> <br /> <br />XI.Comments by the Development Director <br /> <br />1. Mr. Payton distributed an article by Mr. Phil Damico of the Chamber of Commerce <br />concerning the Park Department and our programs. <br />2. Flyers will be going in the bags at Martins Supermarkets in the near future. <br />3. Culver’s will be doing the ice cream at the Kid’s Tri and will also be a sponsor for the Fall <br />Family Fun Fair at Rum Village. <br />4. Letters soliciting potential members of the Foundation Board will be going out in August. <br />Mr. Payton will follow up and contact the individuals regarding interest. The list was <br />formulated by Mr. Payton, Director St. Clair, and Dennis Banas of the Praxis Group. <br />5.
