1. Arborist License Renewals- <br />The following license application was presented for approval by the Board: <br />a. Trugreen, Inc. <br /> b. K & R Tree Service <br /> c. West Landscape, Inc. <br />Mr. Goodrich made a motion to accept the renewals of the Arborist Licenses and Mr. Mullins <br />seconded the motion. It was passed <br />2. Requests for Use of Parks- <br />Ms. Harriman requested the Board approve the following requests: <br />a. Watson Park- August 8, 2009- Youth Rally, Empowering Sisters to Prevail <br />b. Potawatomi Park- August 28, 2009- Corn Roast to Eradicate Polio- South <br />Gateway Rotary <br />c. Howard Park- August 14, 2009- Candlelight Vigil, Vietnam Veterans <br />d. Potawatomi Park- October 3, 2009- Pride in the Park, GLBT <br />e. MLK Center- August 8, 2009- Back to School Event, Greater St. John’s <br />Missionary Baptist Church <br />She stated that all are aware of the insurance requirements. She recommended approval of all <br />requests. <br />Dr. Kelly made the motion to approve the above requests and it was seconded by Mr. Mullins. <br /> The motion was approved. <br />3. Request to Approve 2010 Fee Schedule <br />Director St. Clair noted that the fee for Flag Football was left off by mistake and should be <br />included. The fee will increase by $2 to $50 for residents and $55 for nonresidents. Also, the <br />Leeper Park Tennis rental rate of $135 on page 4 should be deleted. $140 rate is correct. <br />The golf and zoo rates will be determined at a later date <br />The golf pass identification card for senior citizens will increase from $2 to $5. <br />He requested approval of these fees. <br />Mr. Goodrich made a motion to approve the fee schedule for 2010 as presented with the <br />changes as discussed. Dr. Kelly seconded the motion and it was passed. <br /> <br /> <br />V.Approval of Minutes <br /> <br />Mr. Mullins made a motion to approve the minutes of the regular Board meeting held on June <br /> <br />15, 2009 as mailed. The motion was seconded by Dr. Kelly and approved. <br /> <br /> <br />VI.Approval of Maintenance Vouchers <br /> <br />A motion was made by Mr. Goodrich to approve maintenance vouchers for June 2009 totaling <br />$879,471.33. It was seconded by Mr. Mullins. There being no further discussion, the motion <br />was passed. <br /> <br /> <br />VII.Business of Director St. Clair <br /> <br />1.
