G0 <br />' t=.7 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPM~1~'~`li"~~ <br />COMMISSION DESIGNATING AND DECLARING CERTAIN AREAS AS ECONOMIC <br />DEVELOPMENT AREAS TO AMEND THE BOUNDARIES OF THE AIRPORT <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AREA BY ADDING THE LASALLE SQUARE AND <br />MARYCREST/HURWICH AREAS TO THE AIRPORT ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br />AREA, BY DESIGNATING THE EXPANSION AREAS AS PART OF THE AIRPORT <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AREA ALLOCATION AREA NO. l AND BY <br />CONSOLIDATING THE SAMPLE-EWING DEVELOPMENT AREA INTO THE <br />AIRPORT ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AREA AND TO AMEND THE <br />DEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR THE AIRPORT ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AREA <br />WHEREAS, the South Bend Redevelopment Commission (the "Commission"), <br />governing body of the City of South Bend Department of Redevelopment (the "Department") <br />and the Redevelopment District of the City of South Bend, Indiana (the "Redevelopment <br />Dislrici"). exists and operates under the provisions of the Redevelopment of Cities and Towns <br />Act of 1953 which has been codified in LC. 36-7-14, as amended from time to time (the "Act"); <br />and <br />~~'HEREAS, the Commission has previously created the boundaries of the <br />Sample-Ewing Development Area (the "Sample-Ewing Area"), as is more particularly described <br />in Exhibit A, and has previously created an allocation area in the Sample-Ewing Area (the <br />"Sample-Ewing Allocation Area") through the adoption of Resolution No. 1207 on <br />December 17, 1993, as subsequently amended; and <br />WHEREAS, the Commission has previously created and has subsequently <br />amended the boundaries of the Airport Economic Development Area ("the Airport Area"), as is <br />more particularly described in Exhibit B, and has previously created the Airport Area, Allocation <br />Area No. 1 ("Allocation Area No. 1 "), through the adoption of Resolution No. 919 on <br />February 23, 1990, as subsequently amended; and <br />WHEREAS, Resolution No. 919 has since been amended and the boundaries of <br />the Airport Area have been expanded so that the Airport Area and Allocation Area No. 1 include <br />Expansion Areas Nos. 1 and 2 by the adoption of Resolution No. 965 on November 9, 1990; <br />Expansion Area No. 3 by the adoption of Resolution No. 1058 on May 22, 1992; Expansion <br />Area No. 4 by the adoption of Resolution No. 1349 on July 7, 1995; Expansion Area No. 5 by <br />the adoption of Resolution No. 1545 on November 21, 1997; Expansion Area Nos. 6, 7 and 8 by <br />the adoption of Resohltion No. 1667 on Febnlary 19, 1999; Expansion Areas Nos. 9 and 10 by <br />the adoption of Resolution No. 1796 on October 20, 2000; Expansion Area No. 11 by the <br />adoption of Resolution No. 1827 on February 16, 2001; Expansion Areas Nos. 12, 13, 14 and 15 <br />by the adoption of Resolution No. 1916 on November 1, 2002; Expansion Area No. 16 by the <br />adoption of Resolution No. 1977 on July 18, 2003; Expansion Area No. 17 by the adoption of <br />Resolution No. 2006 on November 7, 2003; Expansion Area No. 18 by the adoption of <br />[iDDI301 47~6224v4 <br />
