ns T <br />l5~ ~ i <br />r1 <br />t•_J <br />RESOLUTION NO. ~~J'Sl <br /> <br />~:-_t:u~Df_D H'o f=°~L~~.i'~tTf;~ Ohl <br />E~E~; 01!C @C17 6,3 a ~~ a .iSP{~i <br />TL~kT Ta R~7'HLFiI';E <br />~To JUSEF~H GO~JIaTY <br />R~C~~~Dr:t; <br />RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT Cd~1fiI~SI~i <br />CONFIRMING A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING AND DECLARING <br />CERTAIN AREAS AS ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AREAS TO AMEND <br />THE BOUNDARIES OF THE AIRPORT ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br />AREA BY ADDING THE LASALLE SQUARE AND <br />MARYCREST/HURWICH AREAS TO THE AIRPORT ECONOMIC <br />DEVELOPMENT AREA, BY DESIGNATING THE EXPANSION AREAS AS <br />PART OF THE AIRPORT ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AREA <br />ALLOCATION AREA NO. 1 AND BY CONSOLIDATING THE SAMPLE- <br />EWING DEVELOPMENT AREA INTO THE AIRPORT ECONOMIC <br />DEVELOPMENT AREA AND TO AMEND THE DEVELOPMENT PLAN <br />FOR THE AIRPORT ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AREA <br />WHEREAS, the South Bend Redevelopment Commission (the "Commission"), <br />the governing body of the South Bend Department of Redevelopment, at a meeting held on <br />• June 19, 2007, approved and adopted its Resolution No. 2348 entitled "RESOLUTION OF THE <br />SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION DESIGNATING AND DECLARING <br />CERTAIN AREAS AS ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AREAS TO AMEND THE <br />BOUNDARIES OF THE AIRPORT ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AREA BY ADDING THE <br />LASALLE SQUARE AND MARYCREST/HURWICH AREAS TO THE AIRPORT <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AREA, BY DESIGNATING THE EXPANSION AREAS AS <br />PART OF THE AIRPORT ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AREA ALLOCATION AREA NO. <br />1 AND BY CONSOLIDATING THE SAMPLE-SWING DEVELOPMENT AREA INTO THE <br />AIRPORT ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AREA AND TO AMEND THE DEVELOPMENT <br />PLAN FOR THE AIRPORT ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AREA" (the "Declaratory <br />Resolution"); and <br />WHEREAS, the Declaratory Resolution (i) designated and declared the Sample- <br />Ewing Development Area (the "Sample-Ewing Area") and the parcels commonly referred to as <br />LaSalle Square Area (the "LaSalle Square Area") and the Marycrest/Hurwich Area (the <br />"Marycrest/Hurwich Area" and with the LaSalle Square Area, the "New Areas") as economic <br />development areas; (ii) designated and declared certain areas within the City of South Bend, <br />Indiana (the "City"), as a consolidated area, consolidating the Sample-Ewing Area and its <br />allocation area (the "Sample-Ewing Allocation Area") with and into the Airport Economic <br />Development Area (the "Airport Area") and its allocation area ("Allocation Area No. 1 ") to form <br />a consolidated area and a consolidated allocation area (the entire consolidated area is hereinafter <br />referred to as the "Consolidated Area"), which shall maintain the base assessment dates that exist <br />for the respective areas; (iii) designates and declares that the boundaries of the Airport Area <br />• should be further expanded and amended to include the New Areas designated as Expansion <br />f3DUB01 480i884v2 <br />
