Bill No. 64-9'7 Page 2 A. The South Bend Common Council recognizes the F.O.P. Bargaining Committee of the Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge No. 36, as the sole bargaining unit for the negotiation of annual pay and monetary fringe benefits for sworn members of the South Bend Police Department, excluding the Police Chief, Division Chiefs and Captains. B. The Police Chief, Division Chiefs and Captains of the South Bend Police Department are designated in this ordinance as "Officers". The annual pay for the officers and sworn members of the South Bend Police Department, by rank, for calendar years 1998, 1999, 2000 and 2001 shall be established as follows: Rank 1998 1999 2000 2001 Police Chief $52,000 $54,165 $57,000 $59,400 Division Chiefs $46,550 $ 48,950 $ 51,630 $54,400 Captains $40, 885 $ 42, 570 $ 44, 740 $ 46,800 Lieutenants $33,075 $35,000 $37,050 $39,150 Sergeants $31,700 $33,500 $35,450 Corporals $30,200 $31,800 $33,800 Patrolmen First Class $26,000 $27,000 $28,500 Section III. Additional Areas of Compensation. $37,500 $36,100 $31,275 A. Maximum Amounts: All monetary areas addressed in this ordinance shall be the maximum amounts permitted in each calendar year. B. S'ourt Time Pay: If an officers or sworn member of the South Bend Police Department is subpoenaed to court or is ordered to appear at any given location to validate a complaint or warrant, and if that officer or sworn member is off-duty, that officer or sworn member shall be paid overtime. Such court time pay shall be paid at the overtime rate of pay. Such officers and sworn members shall receive a minimum of four (4) hours
