Michigan <br />Bill No. 09-44 -Special Exception -1823 S. St. Joseph <br />Bill No. 41-09 <br />Chairperson Kirsits began by recognizing Catherine Hostetler, Director of the Historic <br />Preservation Commission to make the presentation. She explained the historic landmark <br />designation significance to the committee. The designation for 113 S. Laurel as a historic home <br />was warranted in that the home built in 1909 and has been preserved virtually intact. The Historic <br />Preservation staff assigned a "notable" rating and the Historic Preservation Commission <br />recommended unanimously it be declared a landmark structure. Dave Varner motioned to accept <br />the recommendation and recommend favorably. Councilmember LaFountain seconded and all <br />agreed to send favorably. <br />Bill No. 42-09 <br />This request for designation as a historic landmark is for a home located at 305 S. Eddy. <br />Catherine Hostetler described the criteria required for landmark designation stating the Historic <br />Preservation Staff and Commission both agreed the criteria were met. Councilmember <br />LaFountain motioned to recommend favorably. Councilmember Varner seconded, all concurred <br />to send favorably. <br />
