Public Hearing <br />(I) continued... <br />There was no one else who wished to speak <br />regarding Resolution No. 2587. Ms. Jones <br />closed the public hearing for whatever action <br />the Commission wished to take. <br />(2) Approve Resolution No. 2587. <br />Ms. Jones said she thinks it is always <br />important to take an empty building and find <br />a good adaptive reuse for it. She agreed with <br />Ms. Andrews when she said it increases the <br />traffic to the neighborhood, the stability to <br />the neighborhood, adds a presence; it"s not a <br />temptation to someone to someone to either <br />destroy or vandalize the building. It's always <br />nice to have someone in the building. That's <br />Ms. ,Jones• primacy support for it. This is a <br />wonderful reuse of the building, and <br />encom•ages and enhances the traffic pattern <br />through all of the museum campuses. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Downes, seconded by <br />Ms. King and unanimously ca>-~-ied, the <br />Commission approved Resolution No. 2587 <br />confii->ning a resolution amending the <br />Development Plan for the West Washington- <br />Chapin Development Area and adding one or <br />more parcels to the List of Parcels to be <br />Acquired. (Hansel Center). <br />B. South Bend Central Development Area <br />(1) Staff report on adding properties to the <br />ACC]UISItIOIl LISt. <br />Mr. Schalliol noted that at the June 5 meeting <br />the Commission authorized staff to research <br />and report back to the Commission on the <br />COMMISSION APPROVED RESOLUTION NO. 2587 <br />CONFIRMING A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE <br />DEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR THE WEST <br />WASHINGTON-CHAPIN DEVELOPMENTAREA <br />AND ADDING ONE OR MORE PARCELS TO THE <br />LIST OF PARCELS TO BE ACQUIRED.
