Ordinance No. U~ ~~ <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE MAXIMUM SALARIES AND WAGES OF <br />TEAMSTER EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, <br />FOR THE CALENDAR YEARS 1999, 2000, 2001, AND 2002. <br />Statement of Purpose and Intent <br />This Ordinance sets forth the monetary aspects of the tentative agreement reached <br />between the City Negotiating Team and the Teamster's Negotiating Team on Friday, July 24, <br />1998 which was later ratified on Monday, July 27, 1998, by the members of the Teamster <br />Local Union No. 364. <br />This Ordinance would approve the monetary amounts of the ratified wage and benefit <br />package, which was believed to be in the best interest of the City. Accordingly, the intent of <br />this Ordinance is to fix the maximum salaries and wages for all City employees represented <br />by the International Brotherhood of Teamsters of America, Local Union No. 364, for calendar <br />years 1999, 2000, 2001, and 2002. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section I. Scope of Coverage <br />This Ordinance shall determine all issues of compensation for all employees for the City of <br />South Bend, Indiana, represented by Teamsters Local Union No. 364 affiliated with the <br />International Brotherhood of Teamsters of America, hereinafter referred to as the "Teamster <br />Local Union No. 364", in the following operational units: <br />Century Center/Hall of Fame <br />Division of Equipment Services <br />Department of Parks & Recreation <br />Police Department <br />Sewer Division <br />Solid Waste Division <br />Street Division <br />Traffic and Lighting Division <br />Wastewater/Organic Resources Division <br />Water Works Division <br />
