ORDINANCE i~iG. <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, <br />INDIANA, APPROPRIATING $575,644.00 FROM STUDEBAKER/OLIVER <br />REVITALIZATION GRANTS FUND (#209) FOR ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF <br />BROWNFIELD SITES <br />STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT <br />Pursuant to this Council's prior authorization, the City of South Bend in 2008 applied <br />and was approved for a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Brownfield Revolving Loan <br />Grant. It is now necessary to appropriate these grant funds along with monies from previous loan <br />repayments within Fund 209 for their intended purpose of brownfield site remediation within the City. <br />NOW, T IIEREFORE, BE 1T ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, <br />Indiana, as follows: <br />Section I. The sum of $578,644.00 is hereby appropriated from Studebaker/Oliver Revitalization <br />Grants Fund (Fund #209) for the environmental remediation of Brownfield sites in accordance with EPA <br />rules. <br />Section II.
