South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting -May 1, 2009 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />(2) Phase II Consulting Agreement with Blue <br />Waters Group <br />Mr. Price noted that Phase I was expected to <br />be part of a series of contracts with Blue <br />Waters Group that would last three years and <br />total approximately $12M. The Phase II <br />Consulting Agreement has a term of eight <br />months and a fee not to exceed $420>000. <br />Whereas Phase I laid the groundwork for <br />what we wanted to do by creating the <br />strategy and producing some of the basic <br />communication tools, Phase II will be more <br />aggressive implementation, including: (1) <br />outreach to both local and regional <br />entrepreneurs; (2) enhancement of <br />IgnitionPark.com as well as sections of the <br />city Web site; (3) electronic communications <br />for the Web site, such as a newsletter <br />focusing on economic development in <br />Ignition Park; (4) public relations ouh•each <br />to national and international media that <br />specialize in nanoelectronics; (5) an identity <br />promotional campaign related to Ignition <br />Park; (6) and using Blue Waters Group to do <br />research into what other tech parks are doing <br />in promotion in this industry and in <br />measuring success. <br />Mr. Price noted that the city continues to <br />work in partnership with Innovation Park cry <br />Notre Dame and Project Future and the <br />Chau~ber of Commerce. <br />Re~7iembering early expectation that <br />Innovation Park C, Notre Dame and Project <br />Future would use Blue Waters Group as a <br />consultant also. Mr. Varner asked if the <br />anticipated cooperation with those entities <br />would result in some compensation to offset <br />4 <br />
