South Bend Redevelopment Commission
Regular Meeting –April 17, 2009

to transform South Bend. It could accelerate
investment at our state certified technology
park. Phase one has laid the
groundwork, established priorities and
developed the communication tools needed
to reach the city’s goals.

Mr. Strickler outlined what he saw as South
Bend’s selling points related to marketing
this area: a high-tech education base
including Notre Dame, Ivy Tech, and New
Tech High School; innovation in our history,
with Oliver Plow Works, Studebaker
Corporation, neoprene, etc.; an affordable
8
