<br />9.Ginger Valley is doing the second round of pest control in the Conservatory soon. <br /> <br /> <br />X.Comments by Maintenance Superintendent <br /> <br /> <br />1.Mr. Dyszkiewicz informed the Board that park cleaning is underway. <br /> <br />2.The Ice Rink has been closed temporarily due to the warm weather. <br /> <br />3.The Trades Crew has been at Pinhook Pavilion doing some remodeling to the basement <br />area to allow the space to be used for classes. <br /> <br />4.Prices are being gathered for repairs at Newman Center. <br /> <br /> <br />XI.Comments by the Development Director <br /> <br /> <br />1.Mr. Payton presented the Board with awards that were presented to the Department. We <br />received Essential Services Awards for our Incentive Based Fitness Program, and the <br />Wildwoods Nature Program at Rum Village. The Outstanding Service Award went to <br />Susan O’Connor and the Outstanding Park Development Award was awarded for the <br />“Access for All” Potawatomi Park project. <br /> <br />2.Mr. Payton reported that he would have the Master Plan at the next meeting for the <br />Board’s review. <br /> <br />3.A meeting was held with the Executive Director of Workforce Development, Kay <br />Cochran, and Park Staff. It was hoped we could use our computer labs for training. He <br />felt it was very productive. <br /> <br />4.He reported that the Daddy/Daughter Dance was sold out as of this morning. <br />th <br /> <br />5.The 50 anniversary event at the Howard Park Ice Rink was very successful. Five <br />hundred people attended the event and it was expanded to two sessions rather than the <br />originally planned one. <br /> <br /> <br />XII.There being no more business to come before the Board the meeting was adjourned <br />by Mr. Goodrich at 5:08 p.m. <br /> <br />The next regular meeting will be held March 16, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. in the Boardroom of the O’Brien <br />Administration Center. <br /> <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br /> <br />William Carleton <br />Executive Secretary <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> - - 4 - - <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
